Romania is in a unique position, with a significant volume of non-refundable funds available from European programs aimed at installing renewable energy production capacities. These opportunities are paving the way for tens of billions of euros to be directed towards viable projects. 🌞 Exciting News! RPIA - Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association (RPIA) is thrilled to announce the first edition of #SolarOpenDay, which will take place on October 31st in Rătești, Argeș County, occasion on which a groundbreaking project will be unveiled! 🌍 Spread over an area of 165 hectares and estimated at EUR 102 million, this venture, co-crafted by Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd. and Nofar Energy, marks Romania's largest foray into #renewableenergy. The Rătești PV park, boasting a 155 MW capacity, is set to generate 220 GWh of clean electricity annually, a major leap towards decarbonization and Romania's 2030 #climategoals. 🌿 👷♀ Not only is it an eco-win, but it's a job creator too! The project is expected to bring around 600 new employment opportunities, reinforcing the local value chain. For every EUR 1 million invested, 6.1 long-term jobs bloom. 📈 The Rătești PV park is more than an energy source; it's a strategic cornerstone in Romania's journey to energy independence, regional stability, and Europe's sustainability. 🌏

The acquisition of a transmission line in Brazil by Actis marks the launch of their new platform. UK investment firm Actis is set to capitalise on Brazil’s decarbonisation push with the launch of a new transmission platform after completing the purchase of a 743-kilometre (461 mi) power line from EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (BVMF:ENBR3). The asset purchase comes as part of the British firm’s approach to investing in long-life infrastructure, with further capital allocations into the sector planned for the coming years, it said in a statement on Wednesday. EDP Brasil separately confirmed it has wrapped up the sale of the EDP Transmissao SP-MG power line at an enterprise value of BRL 2.6 billion (USD 528m/EUR 488m). The asset is associated with BRL 288.5 million in annual allowed revenue. “The asset Actis is acquiring is net zero aligned and critical to meeting the demand for grid expansion and modernisation required for electrification and renewables deployment as part of the energy transition, as well as the general economic growth of the country,” stated Adrian Mucalov, who heads the long life infrastructure unit at Actis In November, Actisa greed to acquire from EDP Brasil two transmission lines at an enterprise value of BRL 2.7 billion. The other asset involved in that transaction is Mata Grande Transmissao de Energia. The sale agreement was part of the asset rotation strategy in the transmission business in Brazil under EDP’s 2023-2026 business plan. ID Energy Group is pleased to announce the energization of the Szentegát photovoltaic plant, the fourth plant to be commissioned by our group and the third in Hungary. The energization of this plant is another milestone towards our goal of reaching 650 MW energized by the end of 2026 within our IPP division. In the midst of the third wave of approvals for crucial projects of common European interest (IPCEI), Energie Salentine Srl (EN.IT subsidiary), alongside Snam and Saipem, secured access to the Hy2Infra initiative's funding, focusing solely on hydrogen infrastructure. Backed by €12.3 billion in investment, Hy2Infra involves seven nations: France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Slovakia. This collaborative effort aims to inject €6.9 billion of public funding, attracting an additional €5.4 billion in private capital for 33 groundbreaking projects. The initiative encompasses electrolyzer implementation, hydrogen transmission, distribution pipelines, and storage facilities, with plans for 3.2 GW of renewable hydrogen production capacity, 2700 km of new pipelines, and 370 GWh of storage. Italy's contribution includes companies like Snam, Saipem, and Energie Salentine. Hy2Infra complements previous initiatives, forming a trilogy of hydrogen-focused endeavors totaling over €38 billion, supporting 109 projects involving 80+ European companies. Aligned with the European Green Deal and REPowerEU plan, Hy2Infra aims to reduce reliance on natural gas and promote renewable hydrogen adoption for a cleaner, greener future. The subsidies are linked to 75 MW in operational capacity, comprising about 40% of the 190 MW HyFive expects to operate by the end of 2026.
