Norway's health industry is tackling two key challenges: enhancing healthcare services and boosting exports. Innovations in health technology can help more people and improve efficiency in the healthcare system. The aim is for Norway to lead in adopting new solutions, which would also drive export growth and create jobs. Achieving this requires strong public-private collaboration, better cooperation between hospitals, municipalities, and businesses. In today’s panel discussion organized by Norway Health Tech, Norwegian Smart Care Cluster and The Life Science Cluster and Oslo Cancer Cluster, Bliksund was used as an example on how to scale a company from Norway to a global market.

Its high digital maturity also gives it a competitive edge. 📌 Obstacles exist around regulations, fragmented data, limited analytics infrastructure, funding constraints, and delivery capabilities - all hurting speed and predictability of access. 📌 Highest value use cases include enhancing clinical research, enabling data-driven policymaking, improving health services through value-based care models, and more. 📌 Norway must act swiftly and ambitiously on 5 priority initiatives: holistic process mapping of data access bottlenecks, adapting regulations, promoting collaboration, strengthening infrastructure, and tracking progress. 📌 With collaboration and investments into focused efforts, Norway can strengthen its health system and foster a thriving life science industry through better use of its health data assets. Solving complex health challenges require innovative solutions and shared commitment. How to bridge stakeholders to pull in the same direction? 🌎 In collaboration with Udenrigsministeriet, Indenrigs- og Sundhedsministeriet and Erhvervsministeriet, Healthcare Denmark will host “Tour de Health’24 – Partnering for Sustainable Health Innovation”, this October. The conference will spotlight the power of multi-stakeholder and cross-sector collaborations showcasing Danish best practices and the fundamentals of a thriving health ecosystem. An example to follow is the multi-stakeholder partnership Lighthouse Life Science with a coalition of over 300 public and private partners, including regions, municipalities, pension companies, and knowledge institutions. Utilising data-driven evidence, emphasising implementation, and focusing on international scalability, its goal is to improve health equity and drive economic growth. In a coordinated effort with the embassies in the 13 Danish health diplomacy countries, high-level governmental, non-governmental and other healthcare stakeholders are invited by Healthcare Denmark to join Tour de Health’24 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
