ONE YEAR ON – DELIVERING THE PD-BR ROLE UNDER THE BUILDING SAFETY ACT:
On Wednesday 10th December, Professor Joan McCoy will be sharing White Ink’s insights, lessons learnt and overall experience of the Principal Designer-BR role with a group of architects, clients, contractors and consultants in a Roundtable hosted by Nigel Ostime and Hawkins\Brown.
The group will examine how the design and construction industry has had to adapt to the new way of delivering residential buildings to ensure they are safe to construct and inhabit and will be sharing their knowledge and experience to date as part of a drive to ensure Best Practice is understood and implemented across the architectural profession and wider construction industry.
A fantastic group to be apart of, we look forward to the discussions with this exciting group. Landsec, Morgan Sindall Construction, Skanska, Galliford Try, Temporary Works Forum (TWf), Arup, EPR Architects, Gleeds, GIRI (Get it Right Initiative), Hill Group UK

Thrilled to see Space House featured in the latest edition of Building Magazine!
PCE partnered with BAM UK & Ireland, on behalf of Seaforth, to breathe new life into this landmark Grade II-listed building in Covent Garden. Leveraging our innovative HybriDfMA Bespoke system and advanced digital technologies, we designed and delivered the structural solution for the new cruciform units on Levels 15 and 16, while re-installing the refurbished roof T units on Levels 16 and 17.
The Space House restoration project embodies PCE's commitment to delivering complex challenges with practical, efficient solutions. Our innovative approach combines offsite construction, MMC expertise, modular methods, and smart connectivity to ensure top-quality, high-efficiency, and certainty of outcome.

Navigating the Modular Construction Process: Best Practices & Lessons Learned
**May 15, presentation 2-4pm; reception following, 4-6pm--San Francisco**
Join us for an educational presentation on modular construction’s best practices, with a follow-up Q&A session. While our panelists will be talking about modular through the lens of affordable housing construction, the best practices and lessons learned can be applied to all types of modular construction. We will follow the flow of a typical new affordable housing development through its typical stages (project conception, design, permitting, construction, and closing) and will discuss optimal approaches for each stage.
Modular construction is especially attractive to affordable housing owners and developers due to cost constraints and the conceptual savings in time and money that modular approaches can bring when executed properly. As modular building is relatively new or unfamiliar to a lot of people in the industry, we will inform on how to effectively navigate the process, so you end up with a successful project. In this presentation, the panelists will focus on the most common type of modular that an affordable housing developer is likely to build due to being most cost effective/efficient—mostly wood-framed construction 3 to 5 stories in height, possibly installed over 1 or 2 levels of concrete podium construction.
Presenters include:
Randall Thompson, Senior Preconstruction Manager, Nibbi Brothers
Jonas Weber, Associate, David Baker Architects/DBA
Carolyn Bookhart, Director of Real Estate Development, RCD
Chelsea Drenick, SE, Regional Director CA-North, NV, UT, Woodworks

Great news from on site at 2 Aldermanbury Square in London, where we have started installation of the first façade panels.
Once complete, the 13-storey building developed by GPE will provide almost 300,000 sqm of office space in the heart of the City of London. Sustainability is at the heart of the development, with challenging targets set to reduce the project’s embodied carbon.
Congratulations to our design team, production colleagues in Middelburg and the installation site team for a fantastic collaborative effort to reach this milestone. Thanks also to our partners on this project, including architect Allies and Morrison, main contractor Lendlease, developer GPE, and structural and façade engineer Arup.
