Closing isn’t just an event that’s part of the sales cycle - it’s an entire process. One way to grow confidence in this process is to have multiple closings ready to use for any situation. Average producers typically have 1-2 closes, and top producers have closer to 5. But Top Producer’s Edge members have 15. The more closes you have prepared, the more dynamic you can be as a salesperson and the more likely you are to close well. Solving digital observability + security challenges
3wThis is a great mentality, but it can also VERY easily be a string of meaningless buzzwords that reps parrot after being trained that "focusing on solving customer problems is how you make money". There is a massive gulf between the # of reps who spit out this talk track and those who actually behave this way. Then another gulf between those whose intentions are pure and those who know how to do it effectively. Which is why both the sales profession AND the negative perception about it isn't going away anytime soon! (Note: just because I'm calling this out doesn't mean I'm perfect - part of what makes this job tough is the constant battle of incentives and short vs long-term performance metrics - easy for anyone to backslide into number-chasing temporarily.)
