Reps can get a bad rap, but this mentality is what we see more often than not ⬇️ See the sales companies with the best culture and leadership: https://lnkd.in/gRKJp9Cq (Chances are their salespeople think similarly ^)

This is a great mentality, but it can also VERY easily be a string of meaningless buzzwords that reps parrot after being trained that "focusing on solving customer problems is how you make money". There is a massive gulf between the # of reps who spit out this talk track and those who actually behave this way. Then another gulf between those whose intentions are pure and those who know how to do it effectively. Which is why both the sales profession AND the negative perception about it isn't going away anytime soon! (Note: just because I'm calling this out doesn't mean I'm perfect - part of what makes this job tough is the constant battle of incentives and short vs long-term performance metrics - easy for anyone to backslide into number-chasing temporarily.)
