Thorughly enjoyed representing The Langham Estate, partipating in the MapMortar panel at FOOTPRINT+ #FP24 last week on tools to support #retrofit. Some fantastic insights and conversations were had. We defintitely need to accept good over perfect as we get the transition to #netzero moving. For many estates, their buildings are still going to be here in 2050. How we retrofit them is going to be critical. #Collaboration is going to be key. Ensuring #fitforpurpose space that can be let and bring in returns to fianance further #decarbonisation. #Dataquality is going to be imperative to measure success and report progress. Scaling real estate decarbonisation | MapMortar

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting a panel with industry leaders focused on retrofitting. Thanks very much Anna Hollyman UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), Richard Hillyard The Langham Estate, Amrita Dasgupta Shekhar Greengage Environmental Ltd, Olivia Phillips Canary Wharf Group for insights on their work, current challenges and the path ahead to deal with this behemoth of a problem. The key message 'Enough chattering, it's time to ACT NOW!' and execute #decarbonisation of #realestate. Its a chance to cut global emissions by ~28% and save the planet. And if saving our planet and the future generations is not enough, there is atleast a $35 Trillion business case to start acting!
