Once Copa America's 2024 final concludes this Sunday, and after a total of 6 matches played for each finalist, it is estimated that Colombia’s National team will have attracted upwards of 341 thousand passionate fans to U.S venues, generating close to$120 million in ticket sales alone. This huge impact goes beyond ticket sales and benefits many sectors of the economy. Undeniable support from an incredible fervor of soccer fans! In comparison, Argentina’s team is estimated to generate about $151 million in ticket sales, in part due to playing in larger capacity stadiums, plus the undeniable “Messi” factor. Both Colombia and Argentina have driven enthusiastic fans to the games in sellout numbers, representing the highest attendance figures for the entire tournament, or about half of the full season’s attendance to date! This year's total attendance numbers (1.6 million+) are also projected to surpass those of Copa America Centenario, the last time the U.S. hosted the Conmebol event. WELL DONE!

#PremierLeague clubs have generated the highest average revenues in global football. The combined club revenues is nearly 2X that of the nearest #LALIGA clubs (as per 21/22 season report). At Sports Business Institute Barcelona we decided to explore this further. Here are some key points: - Average revenue of the top 6 clubs in 2022/23: £580m - Average revenue of the remaining 14 clubs in 22/23: £184m In the same context, the valuations of Premier League clubs (considering valuation data as per Sportico, Jan 2023, revenues 22/23) - Average valuation of top 6 clubs: £3.4bn - Average valuation of the next 14 clubs: £284m The valuation to revenue multiplier - Top 6 clubs: 5.9 - Next 14 clubs: 1.5 Average Premier League club: 2.8

🏆 With the Ballon d’Or 2024 ceremony wrapped up, and Rodri being named as the best men’s player in the World, let’s take a look at the market value evolution of those players in the top 3. 🥇 With the lowest market value amongst the Ballon d’Or’s top 3 players, we find the winner, Rodri, at €117 million, with his value having increased by +€8 million since July 2023. 🥈 In 2nd, we find Vinicius Junior, who also has the 2nd highest market value of the 3, having grown by +€18 million since July 2023, up to €176 million. 🥉 And ranking 3rd at the Ballon d’Or 2024, we find 21-year-old Jude Bellingham, with the highest market value of the 3, while also having experienced the biggest increase since July 2023, where he was given his 1st market value as a Real Madrid player, of €152 million.
