People create anxiety, so they can make money selling books and gain YouTube audiences. I recently read a book and came across a movement called the Second Brain. Basically, it says take notes. Notes are helpful, and you can come back to things. That was something most people learned in high school when they had to write their first paper. Then, I discovered hundreds, if not thousands, of articles on different types of note-taking. Suggestion: There is no perfect note-taking system except the one that works for you. If you have an idea, write it down. If you are reading or listening to something, read or hear something you like, take a moment to write it down. It doesn't have to be any more complex than that. Some people need extensive knowledge management systems, but most of us don’t. Take the simple route and just start and stop worrying.

The Citizenship and American Identity Program explores how to create a meaningful culture of civic engagement.
About us
The Aspen Institute’s Citizenship and American Identity Program focuses on civic and democratic culture in the United States. In a centrifugal time when civic skills are on the decline and democratic values are under threat, creating a sense of common civic purpose and a sustainable story of “us” is of prime consequence.
