🚨 ✊🏽 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗬 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦! Yesterday, Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy (us) hosted a #CSW69 side event 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗴+𝟯𝟬: 𝗘𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, co-created with Miriam Mona Mukalazi and moderated by Xenia Kellner. 💚 We discussed with our panelists, how we can move the money more directly to #feminist movements and actors on the ground, especially in current times of defunding and rapidly shrinking spaces for civil society. 🔴 More detailed report from the event is written by Derya Binisik, feminist leader of Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy ➡️ https://lnkd.in/d5vrssqm A lot of appreciation for our panelists: 🔸 Inken Denker, Head of Division for Feminist Development Policy at Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) 🔸 Vanessa T. (she/her), Program Manager at the Black Feminist Fund 🔸 Jana Ongoma Anguka-Schwerdtfeger, Head of International Programs with medica mondiale e.V. 🔸 Lakshita Kanhiya, Feminist Foreign and Development Policy Fellow Big thank you also goes to Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (NY office) for sharing their space with us!

While the EU cannot become Europe’s security provider, it can support the funding and organization of 🇪🇺's rearmament efforts. Tensions and disagreements - about many different things related to defense - require work. But Trump 2.0 may provide the momentum. Sophia Besch, PhD explains ⬇️

𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗪𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗡'𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 ✨ On this day, and every other day: We rise. Together, and above oppression. ✊🏽 Let this post be a reminder of our collective resilience and resistance. Think about all the victories, solidarity and joy we felt together. Tomorrow is another day, and a chance to feel it all over again. ⬇️ Poem excerpt: “Still I Rise” was written by Maya Angelou in 1978. It champions womanhood, sexuality, and rising above oppression.
