Smallholders are critical to food supply chains, but they face significant challenges: land constraints limit the potential for growth and they are on the climate frontline, facing some of the most damaging impacts of climate change. Our third edition of the ‘Working with Smallholders’ handbook focuses on the role of private enterprise and how agribusinesses can best engage with smallholder farmers to: ✅ drive transformation in agricultural systems ✅ create sustainable growth for farmers ✅ alleviate rural poverty   Through case studies and guidance for practitioners, the book highlights opportunities and challenges to help agribusinesses modernize their supply chains and operations and work more effectively with smallholders in a profitable and sustainable way.
