#Leonardo has designed, developed, and built the only receiver specifically conceived for the ultra-secure Public Regulated Service (PRS) - provided by the #Galileo satellite navigation service - which is currently accredited for use throughout Europe.   The device - produced at the Leonardo sites for the Italian Space Agency (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana) and under the coordination of Italy’s Competent PRS Authority, expressed by the Department of Information Security - Central Secrecy Office - has won the approval of the Council of the European Union for IT (Information Technology) security products after successfully completing the process that requires double cryptographic evaluation.   With its recently awarded certification, the Leonardo receiver will enable all authorised bodies, both civil and military, to access the PRS service of the European Galileo satellite programme, the most accurate worldwide. This encrypted, secure, and resilient service is accessible only to EU Member State government authorised users and provides positioning, navigation, and synchronization data for sensitive applications, including defense, fire services, health services, search and rescue, police, coastguards, and civil protection. The Leonardo receiver is installed on board the vehicles of bodies that use the PRS service to provide reliable, accurate, and cyber-protected information.   Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dP3pEuGZ

The Board of Directors of Leonardo, meeting today under the chairmanship of Stefano Pontecorvo, has approved the new organizational structure of #Leonardo, which includes the establishment of two Deputy General Managements.   These Deputy General Managements are respectively dedicated to commercial development and business program coordination, led by Carlo Gualdaroni, and to Strategy, Innovation, and Strategic Alliances, led by Simone Ungaro. The Corporate Bodies & Institutional Affairs Unit is also established, under the leadership of Filippo Maria Grasso, who will be responsible for the integrated management of the Corporate Bodies of Leonardo S.p.A. and for national and international institutional relations.   This new structure replaces the previous one, which included a single Deputy General Management under the responsibility of Lorenzo Mariani, who will take on a new apical role within the Group.   The new organization aims to ensure operational acceleration in line with the evolution of the Industrial Plan launched in March 2025, and a capital allocation policy that is consistent with Leonardo’s long-term development.   Specifically, the company needs to accelerate both the achievement of results related to organic growth, with an increase in the execution capacity of the order backlog, and the establishment of the business in the medium-to-long term (inorganic growth), through a stronger focus on strategic alliances, defining product strategies, and developing digital technologies.   https://lnkd.in/dcXYdYeJ   #LDO_PR

The Board of Directors of #Leonardo, under the Chairmanship of Stefano Pontecorvo, unanimously approved the update of the Industrial Plan for the period 2025-2029.    Leonardo presents today to the financial community the update of the Industrial Plan for 2029, announced in March 2024, including medium-term targets.    The advancement of the Industrial Plan, which aims to develop the next generation of technologies for global security, is based on the massive digitalization and rationalization of products and services, efficiency initiatives, and cost reduction at the Group level – a gross saving of €1.8 billion over the course of the plan, of which €191 million have already been achieved in 2024. The alliances developed with other defense players are seen as a key factor in accelerating the competitiveness and profitability of the group in the current landscape.   "The Industrial Plan launched 12 months ago," states Roberto Cingolani, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, "is allowing Leonardo to play a leading role in the current international competitive landscape."   "The massive digitalization and rationalization of products and services, along with efficiency initiatives and cost reductions at the Group level," he adds, "have unlocked the organic growth potential of the business beyond expectations, leading the company to achieve strong growth in the top line right from the start, with all KPIs exceeding expectations."   "The start of the alliances and international partnerships undertaken in recent months," concludes Roberto Cingolani, "is the element enabling us to accelerate our development, completing our industrial and technological capabilities.
