Another exciting carbon capture and storage project was announced with our partners Cory and Technip Energies. Once complete, the project will capture approximately 1.4 million tonnes of CO₂ per year by 2030.
🤝 Today we have announced our partnership with Shell Catalysts & Technologies and Technip Energies on our carbon capture and project, drawing on their extensive expertise and strong track record in CCS. ⚡ Our proposed project will use Shell’s cutting-edge CANSOLV CO2 Capture System to capture the CO2 emitted at Riverside 1 and Riverside 2. Once complete, the project will capture approximately 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 per year; the captured CO2 will then be transported to Viking CCS by ship for permanent storage under the North Sea.
