She has been practicing since 2021. n addition to focusing on medication management, Dr Khela's practice also prioritizes a whole person approach, incorporating aspects of nutrition, lifestyle, mindfulness, and supportive or brief cognitive behavioral therapy into the treatment plan. Occasionally, Dr. Khela may believe that additional therapy is also needed and ask that you see a separate therapist to provide the best outcome. Dr. Khela received her undergraduate degree from University of California Berkeley and her medical degree from A.T. Still.

Hi there! I’m Megan, a psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I have worked in various healthcare settings over the years, first as a CNA/MA, then RN, and now NP. I have shifted my focus in recent years from medical to mental health care. It is my passion to understand and address the psycho-social aspects of patients’ lives to assist them in achieving better physical and mental health. I have extensive experience working with adolescents in acute mental health crises in an inpatient setting.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I recently moved from upstate New York to Colorado with my family. I earned my Master of Science degree from Binghamton University in New York, and received my nursing degree from Gannon University. Overall, I have almost ten years of experience in healthcare. I have worked in various nursing settings, with most of time spent on medical as well as inpatient psychiatric nursing. I am currently seeing clients both in person, and virtually through telehealth.
