Emotional and relational pain can’t be easily categorized with words like anxiety and depression. Each of us have our own stories and our pain is as unique as we are. Whether it is learning to carry the existing burden of a mental health diagnosis or exploring the sources of loneliness and worry, what helps more than labels is the ability to tell our stories in a way that is as hopeful as it is truthful. In over two decades of non-profit work I have learned to sit with people whose lives have been disrupted in the midst of their pain. As a clinician I hope to combine that empathetic human connection with evidence based practices.

My clinical framework is rooted in attachment theory, which reiterates the delicate nature of the relationship between mother and baby. This relationship is integral to everything in our world and yet we often trivialize this relationship and assume that if there is a happy, healthy baby, then our mothers should remain perfectly aligned. The truth is, we know that the journey of motherhood is far more complex and intertwined, than how society portrays it.

Email is best...Hello! I am licensed in Oregon, NM, and Idaho. I look forward to meeting you! I believe that every individual has the capacity to heal and grow regardless of how deep the wounds, that no one is broken beyond repair. However, sometimes we find ourselves moving through life in a way that is hindering our potential or no longer serving us well, which can often be the catalyst for seeking counseling. I am dedicated to seeking out ways to educate myself in decolonizing my practice and life. I will meet you where you are and work with you to find the balance you are seeking.

You might be someone who is exhausted from looking for a therapist who looks even a little like you. Maybe you are feeling grief, heaviness, sadness, and even anger about...everything. Perhaps you have saved every mental health Instagram slide deck and TikTok, but you still don’t feel like it’s clicking for you. You may be someone at a crossroads with the story and template you have been told you need to fit into. You may suspect that there is more-more to expect, hope for, and be.

NOW accepting new clients! Despite your best efforts to put on a smile, you have to admit you sometimes feel lonely, resentful, & anxious. You might be finding it difficult to fall asleep at night or get out of bed in the morning. The demands of life are making it difficult to balance caring for others and caring for yourself. Perhaps you've developed an unwanted habit like excessive drinking, snapping at your loved ones, or porn use as a way to cope with the stress in your life. As much as you care about others, always putting them first is exhausting. In fact, it could be really nice to have someone take care of you for a change.

You’re constantly juggling the demands of your job, your family, and your inner turmoil. You feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Ongoing stress, along with unpleasant past memories, weighs heavily on you, making it hard to feel at ease. You struggle with feelings of loneliness and helplessness, get caught in a cycle of people-pleasing, and interpersonal conflicts only add to your stress, leaving you feeling unworthy and unsupported. Perhaps you find it difficult to express your needs and vulnerability, and the defenses you put up only hurt your partner and push them further away. You feel lost and disconnected.

Anxiety, trauma, feelings of worthlessness, depression and a host of other health and mental health challenges peel away at our ability to connect with others. It leaves us feeling alone, lost, powerless and hopeless. Studies have shown that the power of connection is an essential component to a long and meaningful life. So many times, our fears and thoughts that we are not enough, we will be rejected, and that we are invisible trap us in internal suffering. It can feel like we are watching life happen around us from behind a glass window, longing to join but with no way of breaking through.

Whether you're here because of a traumatic event or you have experienced multiple hardships in life, it is possible to get through this, reclaim your spirit and self, and help your mind/body be here in the present moment.

All my life I have been a helper, even before I knew what the term meant. I have worked as a therapist for all ages for the past seven years and during that time my passion for helping others has continued to grow. I understand that as humans we do not live in a vacuum and that our families, friends, and all who surround us create a system of which we are all a part and that system has an impact on the individual. Through my work I have developed the following approach to working with clients: I believe each person is on their own personal journey of healing and has the ability to change and work through their challenges
