What’s better than a penny saved? How about a “Holey Dollar” returned? This 200-year-old rare coin was returned to the Government of the Republic of Poland at a ceremony in Canberra today. The coin was stolen from a museum in Toruń between 2011 and 2016, sold in 2 auctions in Europe, and made its way to Australia through unlawful export. The return was made possible thanks to our cultural heritage laws and collaboration with our partners. Read more➡ tinyurl.com/bp786bfc #EnrichingCommunities Australian Federal Police UNESCO
