With the summer season at a close, we look back at some of the summer internship programmes across our portfolio. This season saw more collaboration amongst portfolio companies, with American University of Bahrain providing international internships in McLaren Group and Premo Group. This aligns with Mumtalakat’s commitment to investing in the education of Bahraini youth, facilitating future job readiness and employment opportunities.

Mumtalakat announced today a new Board of Directors for local portfolio company Gulf Air Group (GFG), under the chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Hussain Taqi. The new Board of Directors shall comprise the following members: H.E. Shaikh Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa Mrs. Sara Ahmed Buhiji Mrs. Fatema Bashar Alhasan Mr. Ali Moosa Shafiee Mr. Tarek Abdulaziz Sultan Mr. Charlie Foreman Mr. Faisal Ali Al Jalahma Mr. Alaa Abdulkhaleq Saeed This aligns with Mumtalakat's strategic priorities to proactively manage its portfolio and drive sustainable growth that supports the aviation industry's contribution to Bahrain's economic recovery. Key facets of Mumtalakat's strategy include active asset management, strengthening board governance, and generating stable financial returns. Mumtalakat expressed its gratitude and deepest appreciation towards the former Chairman and Board members for their exceptional service and contribution during their tenure.

As Al Dana Amphitheatre - a local portfolio company of Mumtalakat - announces events for its upcoming season, we look back at some of its achievements since inception.   Mumtalakat today announced an investment through a fully owned subsidiary in Racing Force S.p.A., parent company of Racing Force Group, a world leader in safety systems for motorsports, to address the growing global market demand for motorsports safety products. This investment coincides with the expansion plans of Racing Force Group of its current Bell Racing Helmets factory in Bahrain, which was established in 2014 and has employed 400 Bahrainis since then. This groundbreaking initiative will provide precise, long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services to local communities across Bahrain, to enhance healthcare quality and accessibility in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, ensuring the welfare of all citizens. His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Chairman of Mumtalakat, affirmed the solid ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China highlighting the ongoing growth and advancement in various fields. This announcement was made following Mumtalakat's signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China Investment Cooperation (CIC) to explore potential investment opportunities. The agreement was reached during the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain and President of the current session of the Arab Summit, and the accompanying official delegation’s visit to China. H.E. Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Mumtalakat, recently visited Silah Gulf, a local portfolio company of Mumtalakat. H.E. was welcomed by Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive and Silah Gulf Chairman, as well as Feras Ahmed, Silah Gulf CEO, where he had the opportunity to tour the facilities and was introduced to the various departments and functions of the company. The visit concluded with a meeting with the chairman of the board and wider executive management team to discuss the company’s journey since inception as a customer experience solutions provider, including its numerous industry accolades and continued local and regional growth trajectory. ARRAY INNOVATION, a local portfolio company of Mumtalakat, recently participated in a Bahrain Polytechnic’s Career Week. Representatives of the company had the opportunity to meet graduating students interested in pursuing a career in the ever-evolving digital landscape. ARRAY is a digital solutions’ provider, spearheading digital innovation and artificial intelligence, as well as enhancing Bahrain’s position as a regional technology leader by providing specialised digital expertise to businesses and communities.
