We are 18 weeks into the Speedwall installation. Currently on the 9th floor out of 12. The British Columbia Institute of Technology Tall Timber Student Housing project will soon be occupied by 470 students with affordable on-campus housing. This project is a testament to the future of construction. Going with a prefabricated high-performance system like Speedwall has helped meet an intense project schedule and an impressive performance target of TEDI 15. It was a pleasure hosting members from the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters association along with the Honorable Andrea Khanjin, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, where we were able to showcase some of our environmental solutions in the construction industry including our solar and battery energy storage solutions through RESCo Energy Inc as well as our high performance modular wall system, Speedwall. Glad to have the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters join us on the tour.

We have had a great experience working with Ledcor on this project so far and continue to see impressive progress on site with our Speedwall system.
Our British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Tall Timber Student Housing continues to go up fast! It takes only two weeks to build and enclose a floor: First, cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels are placed on top of steel columns across the structure. Then, Flynn Group of Companies prefabricated Speedwall™ panels are snapped into place to enclose the floor below. These high-performance, insulated metal panels include pre-installed triple glazed windows, and horizontal and vertical gaskets for seamless connection to each other and the rest of the structure, increasing air tightness and reducing heat transfer. The building will top off its 12th floor in June. Check out our video to see it in progress!

Twenty of the top Frontline Leaders from all over Canada got together last week for the 34th Flynn University for Frontline Leaders Workshop. The FUFL program covers a broad range of topics including Flynn Vision and Mission, Flynn Culture, the Flynn Leadership Promise, Self Management, Teamwork, Building Trust, Communication, Coaching, Managing Conflict and Problem Solving.
