It was an honor for me to present my research and observation the matters of Start-up Governance in Indonesia as part of the seminar on Indonesian Corporate Law and Governance: Expert Analysis on Timely Issues held by CCLA SMU at Singapore Management University on Tuesday, 27 August 2024. This seminar bridged academic research with practical insights, fostering invaluable discussions on Indonesia's evolving legal and corporate environment, especially in the startup sector. I would like to thank all speakers, panelists and contributors Pey Woan Lee, Royhan Akbar, Xavier Amadei, and with special mentions the great duo panelists Kelvin Goh and Kyle Lee whom we had interesting discussions on the reality of startup governance on the ground including balancing the interests and needs of investors, founders, and the idea of having an independent board to balance those. Really grateful for the support and guidance of Prof Yetty Komalasari of Fakultas Hukum Universitas Indonesia, and Prof Dan W. Puchniak who also host this event with the excellent support from SMU Yong Pung How School of Law. Really appreciate the research support from Vianney Widoputranto and others at Adrem Law Firm over the past few years on this topic, and also the journey and conversations that we had over those years together with investors and founders and my own personal reflection that enlighten this research. #IndonesianCorporateLaw #CorporateGovernance #StartupGovernance
