These site visits by our senior team all help to reinforce our commitment to our people and a great opportunity to witness their passion and capability first hand.
A fantastic visit today to see one of our repair and maintenance teams working in Southampton on behalf of Southern Water. A credit to the business. Skill, passion and dedication on display all round - I even got to see our machine driver’s back catalogue of excavations on his phone! Thanks for having me lads.

Customer service is critical to our success and being recognised for Customer Centricity at Southern Water recent celebrations of excellence was a real pat on the back for the team. Congratulations to the whole team that delivered on the Netherfield programme of works. Not only were the improvements delivered to the high standards expected but the community benefitted from Clancy colleagues supporting local school projects and leaving behind improved facilities for the residents for many years to come. If you’d like to join a team that is growing to meet demand but keeping a close eye on how we deliver in the communities we work in check out our vacancies at https://ow.ly/yt3o50TPBJC

A million smart meters - well done to everyone involved. Immensely proud of the part our Clancy colleagues have played in the delivery so far for Anglian Water Services and will continue as we embark on the ambitions for the roll out through to 2030 as part of the extended contract announced just last week. We have the skills the experience and determination to drive improvement into the programme to ensure its continued success and are working in partnership with the best in the industry to supply the technology and monitoring capability to achieve just that. #clancygroup #smartmeter #water #innovation #continuousimprovement
Our industry leading smart meter programme has just hit an exciting milestone, as we fitted our one millionth meter. As well as putting people in touch with how much water they are using, smart meters play a vital role in protecting our most precious resource. Our plan is to install smart meters in all customer homes by the end of the decade to protect our water supply and reduce our carbon footprint. With the data we receive from smart meters, we can better understand water use across the year and plan for water demand in specific towns. Thanks to hourly readings, we’re also able to find and detect leaks far sooner on customer side pipes. These account for about a third of all water lost to leakage so finding and fixing them is vital as we continue driving leakage rates down to world leading low levels. Watch the video below to find out more⬇️ Thank you to our partners - Arqiva and Xylem and our alliance partners Kier Group and Clancy for facilitating the delivery of this programme. #SmartMeter #WaterResources #Leakage

Building on our announcement last week that our partnership with Anglian Water Services has been extended to complete their smart meter roll out by 2030 it’s great to now also share the news that we will also be continuing to deliver essential maintenance and repair work on their network too over the years ahead with this contract extending too. Our success is testament to our strong partnership with Anglian Water and the Clancy team of highly skilled and experienced people that deliver to the highest standards every day. Jim Davey, executive director at Clancy commented: Significant investment is required to shore up vital assets for the future and manage the growing demands on our ageing infrastructure. Central to meeting these objectives will be strong alliances like this one which promote collaborative excellence and best-in-class delivery. As we move into AMP8, we are looking forward to building on the previous successes of our long-standing partnership with further innovations and new digital technologies to maintain a strengthened, more efficient network for the benefit of Anglian Water’s customers and the region. Great to see our fleet expanding to suit the needs of the evolving works we deliver. Even better that it's supporting our drive to a more sustainable future. Branding looks fab too! #clancygroup #sustainability #clancyplant #civilengineering
Fantastic to have our three new crew-cab and mini-bus site vehicles land to our project on HS2 this week, bought by Clancy plant to support our onward trajectory of works! Late last year, we transitioned away from our typical 2 & 3-seater vehicles for 6 & 9-seater vehicles as part of our drive towards #carbonreduction and #sustainability The switch has proved to be a great success on average reducing our site vehicle count by about 5-6 vehicles depending on project locations. We also maximize these by car pooling on journeys to work, which further reduces private vehicle emissions! #civilengineering #clancy #clancyplant #infrastructure #environment

It’s great to see our people supporting Clancy’s drive towards a more sustainable delivery model and as always deliver on our commitment to support the communities we work in with great initiatives. Well done to Cat Tame, Environment and Sustainability Advisor for Civil Engineering South for galvanising support from one of our suppliers, Francesca Middleton from ECOHire to undertake an impromptu litter pick. Fran was onsite to get feedback from the team on the ECOHire welfare cabin that had been brought to the site in Hampshire where we are delivering a cross country pipeline. Both Fran and Cat are personally invested in promoting an ecological future for the companies they work for and spent the litter pick not only doing a great service locally, but coming up with ways we can help achieve Clancy’s KPIs one of which is to reduce our fuel usage by 20 per cent, another to increase the use of solar solutions by 25 per cent and we are sure their collaborative approach will come up with some great ideas to deliver in the months to come. #Sustainability #Clancy #EcoFuture #Community

Our people are at the heart of what we do. With so many of them driving as part of their daily routine, whether it’s delivering Clancy Plant and equipment to client sites or the commute to work, taking this time to remind them of the need to check their vehicles regularly and to take breaks at the onsite of fatigue when driving distances is critical to their safety and wellbeing. These quarterly focus sessions have been established as a key part of our communications programme and is how we are continuously ensuring we are raising the bar in our health and safety performance. #clancy_group #safety #raisingthebar #fleet
Raising the Bar! It was great to have hosted another Raising the Bar Stand-down across our Clancy business with a focus on Driving Safely. Hosted from our Head Office and streamed live across the wider business We had a mix of speakers who focussed on why we undertake gate vehicle checks, understanding the risks from driving and seeing driving as part of your daily role followed by Driving whilst fatigued the silent killer. We hope these stand-downs make a difference to keep people safe every day!

Clancy is delighted to announce we’ve extended our partnership with Anglian Water Services to complete their smart meter roll out by 2030. We’ve been delivering for Anglian Water Services across 3 alliances for over a decade now, and know the teams will continue to have a huge impact on the challenge ahead, as we ensure delivery of our installation targets over the next five years. With water companies under increasing pressure to tackle hotter, drier and more unpredictable weather, while maintaining resilient supply and prioritising affordability, smart meters are vital to support overcoming these challenges. We look forward to improving network visibility to allow more targeted investment and reduce leakages, as well as helping customers to better understand their own usage. We achieve our goals by employing the best people.
