Hi there, Personal post… sorry! Some of you may know that I have a passion for running marathons, with 11 completed and counting. This year is particularly special as I am participating in the #TeamBrainAppeal London Marathon 2025 on April 27th, 2025. My goal is to raise over £20,000 for an incredible cause that supports individuals like my beloved mum. My mum was diagnosed with Young Alzheimer's Disease (YOAD) in 2019, and just two months later, we faced the devastating loss of my dad in a freak accident at home. Losing him so suddenly after 50 years together has made this journey even more challenging for her. Thankfully, she has five children who are always by her side, with my sister being especially remarkable in providing support. However, this disease gradually takes away so much—most importantly, independence and often, happiness. The National Brain Appeal is dedicated to transforming the lives of millions affected by neurological and neuromuscular conditions. They drive advancements by funding pioneering research, innovative treatments, and world-class facilities beyond what the NHS can offer. Your generous donation will help improve the outcomes and quality of life for those impacted by these conditions. I am also thrilled to share that Clancy will be match funding donations raised through The Clancy Foundation—a family initiative we are incredibly proud of that has supported numerous charities over the years. Now, I am excited to channel this support into something deeply personal. And remember... if nothing else, you might get a good laugh when I inevitably fail to beat my dad's time AGAIN! (I am on 2:58 and he got 2:51) Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting this vital cause.

And we're off an running for Clancy on our South West Water Framework. Last week we commenced 2 critical projects for our client. The first of which is shown in the images shown below where we mobilised to the Isle of St Martins to deliver critical infrastructure works for the Island outside of the tourist season. It was a logistical challenge in an amazing location lead by Oliver Kennedy and Frank Sweeney. With great help from Waterways, Kraken Marine ⚓Julian Northway⚓ James Morton, Carl Guy, PENZANCE HELIPORT LIMITED and many more who supported us on this venture who I've probably left out. We're really looking forward to delivering the first of many projects on the beautiful Isles of Scilly. Mark Rands FICE Sylvia Hicks

Giving back to the communities we serve and creating social value is at the heart of Clancy. Our Civil Engineering Central Team recently demonstrated this by supporting the Harefield Hospital Healing Garden, using their time, expertise, and heavy machinery to create the stunning new ‘dry river bed’ gravel garden outside the potting shed. The Harefield Hospital Healing Garden is a space for everyone – offering calm and therapeutic surroundings for patients, visitors, and staff. Thanks to our contributions, volunteers now have a dedicated space to: - Clean and organise tools - Propagate plants using the cold frame - Turn compost bins into free compost for the garden It’s a lasting impact that will benefit this special garden for years to come! The Clancy Foundation also supported Santa’s Secret Services 2024, donating over 300 chocolate selection boxes to brighten the holidays for families in the local community, with all money raised donated to local schools. #Clancy #HarefieldHospitalHealingGarden #SocialValue #FestiveGiving #MakingADifference #CommunityMatters
