  • Last night, colleagues across our three offices had the opportunity to watch a screening of Why Not Scotland?, a powerful film by SCOTLAND: The Big Picture. Why Not Scotland? follows a young Scot exploring rewilding projects across Europe, looking at how nature recovery transforms landscapes and communities, asking if it’s possible elsewhere, why not Scotland? The film supports the Rewilding Nation campaign, urging Scotland to lead the way as the world’s first Rewilding Nation, restoring nature across 30% of its land and seas. It highlighted rewilding’s potential – not just to restore nature but to create opportunities for people and communities to thrive alongside it, even in urban spaces. We’re proud to be SCOTLAND: The Big Picture’s Rewilding Business Partner, working towards a wilder, more resilient Scotland. The inspiring film challenges us to reflect on the role we can all play in this vision and how we can help drive this vital conversation forward. • 2024 was another challenging year for UK businesses as they continued to combat the cyber security threats impacting organisations across all sectors.    It is estimated that nearly half of all UK organisations experienced some form of cyber security breach last year, including a major cyber attack on the Ministry of Defence and ransomware attacks on both the Scottish NHS Trust Dumfries and Galloway and Synnovis.   In this article from our cyber security team we discuss the predicted cyber concerns anticipated for 2025, including the increasing risk of ransomware attacks and the evolving role of AI, and look at how governments are responding to the threats, including the UK Government’s upcoming Cyber Security and Resilience Bill, which aims to protect the UK’s critical infrastructure and digital services.   Read more here: https://bit.ly/3WmM6Lx

We are proud to have contributed to an initiative that facilitated and encouraged female entrepreneurship, reflecting our firm’s wider commitment to supporting female founders and helping them secure the growth investment they need to thrive.   The sessions were filled with energy and collaboration, and we’re looking forward to seeing where these innovative businesses go next!
