We are pleased to be taking part in the first #ReUseNow webinar of 2025! Join us on the 30th Jan to learn more about how the construction industry can reduce material waste, decrease #embodiedcarbon, and drive more circular construction practices. We're all set to share some useful insights, innovative solutions and real life success stories relating to the reuse of steel in #foundations, #piling systems and utility #infrastructure.
Join us on 30th January for the first of our 2025 #ReUseNow webinars - Exploring Reuse Opportunities: Below ground products and materials. Products and materials, such as foundations, piling systems, and utility infrastructure (e.g., pipes and tubes) are essential to most structural projects. These elements are typically composed of high-volume, resource-intensive materials like concrete, steel, and polymers. While their durability and integrity is paramount, their potential for reuse can be overlooked. There is a huge opportunity to reduce material waste, decrease embodied carbon, and drive more circular construction practices. We will hear from experts already implementing below-ground reuse. These include ASBP Patron members, John Lawrie Tubulars UK & Europe, and Cleveland Steel & Tubes Ltd, who will explore the lessons learned from their case studies and experience. 30 January at 12:30-14:00. https://lnkd.in/esv5y3f3 Free for ASBP members, £10+VAT for members of partner organisations, £20+VAT general admission. Thank you as always to our ReUseNow Campaign sponsors, Cleveland Steel & Tubes Ltd, Optima Systems, Circuland, EME, Reusefully Ltd and Woodknowledge Wales - promoting reuse in construction to reduce material waste, decrease embodied carbon, and drive more circular construction practices.

We helped our clients save 555.54 tonnes of CO₂ e – that’s equal to the amount of CO₂ absorbed by 614.5 meters cubed! 🌳 👏 John Lawrie Tubulars UK & Europe supplied 5850.5 meters of 178mm dia Steel Tubes for Piles to support the existing Grade II listed Yarm Viaduct (pictured). Jack Down Piling was used by Roger Bullivant Limited to install piles in depths of up to 13 meters, this technique minimises noise pollution, disturbance of soil and damage to the existing structure. Using our John Lawrie Tubulars’ repurposed products and bespoke procedures saved this project 555.54 tonnes of CO₂ . That’s an incredible 97.21% saving over the production of new prime steel products! 👀 Read more about the project, it’s challenges and why steel tubes were the best solution for this project: https://buff.ly/3BRhUBb #sustainability #SustainableFuture #SustainableConstruction #pilingfoundations #steelpiling #johnlawrietubulars #yarmviaduct #repurposedsteel

Giving back at Christmas is a wonderful way to share the festive spirit. 🎄🎅 It’s a time to think beyond our own celebrations and consider how we can support those in need, whether through donations, volunteering, or choosing sustainable gifts. Businesses and individuals alike can embrace this responsibility by giving back to their communities, reducing waste, and spreading kindness. We can all encourage compassion within our community. Last week our Iain hopped in his sleigh (we mean car…) and delivered a combination of toys/gifts/vouchers for local children who are at risk of receiving nothing this year. Whilst he was there, he also purchased Christmas meals for 50 people all of which will be distributed to the most vulnerable members of the local Montrose community. 🌟 A big thank you to The Montrose Playhouse and MOHUB - Montrose Community Hub for organising and for reminding us all of the true spirit of Christmas! How else do we support the community? 🤓 https://lnkd.in/eNsdMJ2A #givingback #makingadifference #socialresponsibility #helpingfamilies #christmas2024 #SupportLocal #communitylove #JohnLawrieTubulars

From steel pipe to plastic caps, EVERYTHING in our yard that can be repurposed, remanufactured or reused is - everything that can't is fully recycled. We are proud that our customers and suppliers choose us not only for our great service and quick turnaround, but also because we commit to operating in a responsible, ethical, circular and sustainable way. #TogetherWeThrive Our Six Stage Circular Steel Process explains all... 👉 https://lnkd.in/eN9ZZh-K #circulareconomy #circularprocess #construction #zerowaste #zerolandfill #circularsteel #steeltubulars #SteelPipes #steelpipe #oilandgas

🤩 We are thrilled to announce… that our damaged/recycled caps have been given a new lease of life! Our damaged caps were cleaned, shredded and remade into fabulous new (100% recycled) HDPE pipes! HDPE pipe is often used for water mains, gas mains, sewer mains, slurry transfer lines, rural irrigation, fire-suppression system supply lines, electrical and communication conduits, and stormwater and drainage pipes – it’s good to know that our recycled waste is 100% being used responsibly. We recycle our damaged caps to conserve natural resources, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, to reduce landfill use and to save energy. Real sustainability is not just a label, it’s an investment and a commitment to doing better. We lead by example. 🌱🌏 More about our sustainability journey: https://lnkd.in/eN9ZZh-K #sustainability #sustainable #closedloop #wastereduction #supplychain #JohnLawrieTubulars #endprotectors #oilandgas #steeltubuars

🤔 What happens to damaged end protectors? We recycle them. ♻️ Damaged pipe end protectors are no longer sent away for recycling, they are shredded in house using our purpose-built shredding machine! Our shredder processes all types of damaged caps. It separates the metal from the plastic as it shreds, which means all caps are fully recyclable – nothing gets sent to landfill. Sustainability for John Lawrie Tubulars is more than simply being environmentally conscious. For our business it’s about: ✅ continually striving to do better ✅ reducing the reliance of producing new ✅ preventing unnecessary recycling ✅ keeping products in use for longer ✅ the ability to maintain/support a process over time ✅ offering a high quality, cost effective and green solution for customers Are you pulling pipe?
