We’re delighted to be working on the refurbishment of the Kensington Forum Hotel, a 30-storey building with double storey basement. The redevelopment will upgrade the hotel to 4-star status and consists of a complete refurbishment of all hotel rooms, replacement of the existing glazed façade, re-purposing of front of house areas, the addition of spa, gym and swimming pool facilities within the basement, and a two-storey extension to roof level. Structural works include major alterations and strengthening to the primary core structure and transfer slabs as well as various cut and carve of the structure. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027. These fantastic visuals have been taken from our structural model, created by Brett Hobbs. Merry Christmas from all the team at MNP, celebrating our 25th anniversary this year! It’s incredible to look back over the years from where we started in 1999 as a two-man setup to the 60-strong team we are today, with three offices which continue to grow.  This year we have welcomed seven new members to the team; Qusay Elshawa, Dominykas Talandis, Kamruzzaman Tanzil, Batsuuri Ashidmaa, Waleed H., Harry Latheron and Matthew Armitt. After a very busy year, we hope everyone enjoys a rest over the festive period, and look forward to a successful 2025!

🎉 Practical Completion of Eden Campus, Kingston! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce the practical completion of the Eden Campus in Kingston. This development provides 290,000 sq ft of commercial office space across two buildings, with Unilever taking the Lease on both buildings, as well as a new car park with 356 car parking spaces, with 30% of them equipped with electric vehicle charging stations. One of the project’s standout features is the creation of a new publically accessible woodland walk, enhancing the green space in the area and promoting well-being for all who visit. The project has achieved an EPC A rating, BREEAM Excellent certification, and WIRED Platinum status. We are incredibly proud to have been the Project Managers and Employer’s Agents on this project, working alongside an exceptional team. This month we have been collecting donations in our Hitchin office for the local homeless charity Feed Up Warm Up. They provide a safe space one evening a week in Hitchin and Stevenage for visitors to enjoy a hot meal, chat to volunteers, and find practical and emotional support. They also operate a homeless outreach service, providing help and food packages to those in need in our community. When Mason Navarro Pledge Ltd were appointed as engineering consultants on the new Stephenson Way student accommodation development, the team turned to Trimble’s multi-material structural design software to provide the streamlined workflows and interoperability required. “The architect supplied us with CAD layouts of the floors, which we were able to import as DXFs directly into Tekla Structural Designer and model the structure in line with the architectural and structural design. This allowed us to accurately alter the model geometry without either using a third-party software (such as Revit) to first model the geometry to the architect's layout and importing that model into the analysis software; or painstakingly measuring out all the gridlines by hand and recreating the model from the architect's drawing.” Read the full case study, here 👉 https://buff.ly/47C9CIO #casestudy #engineering #design #analysis
