Hot off the press 🗞️ Three men were arrested earlier this week as part of an Environment Agency and Cambridgeshire Constabulary investigation into large-scale, organised deposits of waste across across counties including Lincolnshire. Bales of waste were found in coloured plastic wrap disguised as farming bales 🚜 The Environment Agency are urging landowners, businesses and members of the public to report any plastic-wrapped bales they see in suspicious places, which are unlikely to be silage or hay stored by farmers or equestrian facilities. 🔗 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/esQDsk2C #LincolnshireEnvironmentalCrimePartnership #FlyTipping #SCRAPFlytipping #WasteCrime

It is incredibly important to me that Lincolnshire is safe during the night time economy. What better time to head out to explore this in Lincoln than ‘mad Friday’?! 7:30pm Stack tour ✅- Stack is pretty new to the City so I went to meet the team and have a tour of the venue. It was wonderful to hear how the public are kept safe and their big plans for the future including area regeneration and a partnership working approach. 8:30pm CCTV ✅ - A quick swing by CCTV, the eyes and ears, to see any trends they were seeing as the night was starting to get busy and of course to say thank you for their work keeping us safe. 9:00pm > 3:00am ✅- A night with the Safety Wardens. Thank you so much Adam and the team for the very warm welcome. From safeguarding vunerable people and administering first aid to deescalating extremly volatile situations and much more, the Wardens are there to ensure people feel safe and are indeed much safer. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak to door staff, business owners, members of the public and the police to hear first hand the barriers and successes of the night time economy here in the city.

2024 has been a busy year for our Safer Together Team 🗣️ They have attended over 150 external engagements which have included coffee mornings, family days, NPT Walkabouts, community centre visits, village shows, markets and so many more! The feedback from the public at these engagements has been fed back to your Police and Crime Commissioner to inform his decision making. Back at the University of Lincoln today (don’t judge the recycled photo 😂) Today, I attended ‘Lincolnshire Women’s Strategy Exploring Partnership Working for Women and Girls at Risk in Lincolnshire.’ It was incredibly insightful! One takeaway was that our commitments must be; Developed with the voice of those with lived experience ✅ Trauma informed ✅ Academic evidence based ✅ Practitioner evidence based ✅ Locally specific response ✅
