Our London team are proud to continue our partnership with @Sheppard Trust, delivering phase two of the Royal Cambridge Home redevelopment in Surrey. After successfully completing phase one in 2024, our commitment to collaboration has earned us the opportunity to complete the scheme. Spanning 62,000 sq ft and valued at £21.8 million, phase two will focus on the creation of a new facility, Elizabeth Court, following the demolition of buildings comprising the former Royal Cambridge Home. The 61-bedroom facility will house apartments designed to support independent living with care when it is needed, alongside communal areas, garden spaces, and parking.   Phase one saw the completion of a 32-bed facility, liaising closely with with stakeholders on-site, including residents. Now that they’ve moved into their new state-of-the-art homes, we’re excited to commence phase two, supporting The Sheppard Trust in delivering the high-quality specialist housing. As we close out an extraordinary year, we celebrate the remarkable progress RED has made in 2024. 12 months ago, we predicted 2023/24 would be a huge milestone for RED Construction Group, and we’re proud that we’ve met that and more, with a turnover over the £100m mark for the first time. Across the financial period, from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024, we have maintained a pre-tax profit margin of 1.7%, while taking turnover to nine figures, at £115m.   RED continues to deliver targeted revenue and achieve sustainable profit, exceeding last year's forecast of more than 60% growth for 2023/24.   Our CEO, Graham Sturge MCIOB commented: “Whilst we celebrate this, we’re also very conscious of the volatility of our market. Our focus for the coming year remains the same – risk management, stable growth, and supporting our supply chain partners. The historic 30,000 sq ft Grade II listed building is set to undergo an extensive transformation, with our London team delivering new Grade A workspace alongside an impressive terrace. Our London team are making significant strides on the redevelopment at 55-58 Pall Mall and 1-4 Crown Passage. The structural phase is near completion, with the steel frame now reaching the top floor, and Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) floor panels fully installed to all levels. Our team have fully completed the pre-cast concrete staircase to level seven, and work is now underway on joist and ply installation for the external terraces and the Pall Mall mansard. Scaffolding continues on Crown Passage, the Pall Mall elevation, and the east elevation alongside 54 Pall Mall, setting the stage for exterior envelope works early next year. Composite concrete floors for levels four to roof level will continue, with internal fit-out work beginning early next year.
