After a lot of hard work, we are delighted to announce the submission of our planning application for the redevelopment of Great North Leisure Park in Finchley, within the London Borough of Barnet Council. After acquiring the site in March 2023, our vision is to transform this underutilised 11-acre space into a vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood designed around health, wellbeing, and community connection. Our plans include: - 1,502 new mixed-tenure homes, including 23% affordable housing. - Brand new leisure centre with indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, gym, and multipurpose studios. - Nearly 28,000 sqft of commercial space for local businesses and amenities. - Revitalised green spaces and better links to Glebelands Open Space. - A focus on sustainability and climate resilience. Our plans for Great North Leisure Park represent a bold reimagining of a neglected site, unlocking its potential to become a great destination for sports, leisure, and healthy living. Our proposals will create a new neighbourhood, delivering new homes, a new leisure centre and new public spaces, truly putting this corner of Finchley on the map. We’ve reached the top! We celebrated the structural completion of Parkside, the tallest of five blocks at Fulton & Fifth in Wembley Park. Standing 28 storeys tall, Parkside is now officially one of the tallest residential structures in the London Borough of Brent! This milestone represents a significant step forward in our journey to create a vibrant community with 876 homes, independent cafés, workspaces, and biodiverse green spaces, including a linear park. Of these homes, 294 have been purchased by Brent Council to provide affordable housing for local households. The innovative use of off-site manufacturing for the structure, envelope, bathroom pods, and utility cupboards has ensured efficiency, sustainability, and quality. These forward-thinking construction methods highlight our commitment to mitigating risks and embracing greener practices. The team have worked incredibly hard, with 186 balconies fitted in the last five days. As we shift focus to the interior fit-outs and landscaping, the first blocks are set for completion in Spring 2025, with Parkside scheduled to welcome its first residents by Q4 2025. This project is more than just a building—it’s a testament to the transformative potential of urban development. Parkside adds to Wembley Park's vibrant skyline while redefining modern city living in one of London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. Onward to the next phase! For more info: https://lnkd.in/eTre-ku7

We’re proud to announce the launch of the Retrofit Assessor Programme, a groundbreaking initiative designed to meet the growing demand for green skills in London. The Regal Academies have trained nearly 250 service leavers since 2022, offering them a pathway to meaningful second careers. In partnership with Building Heroes and Capital City College , Regal Academies is equipping veterans, service leavers, and local communities with the expertise to assess and recommend sustainable upgrades for London's housing stock. This is a pivotal step toward helping local authorities achieve their ambitious 2030 decarbonisation targets. With 210,000 homes needing retrofitting annually to meet net-zero goals, this programme addresses the urgent shortage of qualified professionals and at the same time, provides industry-recognised certifications like the PAS 2035-aligned Retrofit Assessor qualification, enabling immediate employment in high-demand roles. Thanks to EG for sharing MD for Construction Damien Cartmell’s views and our experience. At Fulton & Fifth, our Regal Construction team is delivering 876 homes and over 33,000 sq ft of commercial space using off-site methods for the structure, envelope, bathroom pods, and utility cupboards. This brings reduced risks, improved efficiency, and a significant step toward lowering embodied carbon. Off-site construction is a powerful solution - its success lies in evolution, not revolution. https://lnkd.in/ec-evki7
