You can be based anywhere in the UK and there is no need to travel. You just link through zoom for the length of the therapy – all you need is an internet connection. Group analytic therapy uses the group itself as the method of change. You may have become aware that you might be contributing in some way to problematic patterns that repeat in your family, intimate relationships or friendships. By developing, exploring and examining the interpersonal relationships that emerge within the group, it allows for the challenges that you have in your life to emerge. The group is a safe and confidential space where these challenges can be seen, worked with, and changed. The group is a friendly, supportive and robust environment for this to occur. Who's it for? Groups are suitable for almost everyone. If you have: - Anxiety - Depression - Relationship difficulties - Are struggling to negotiate developmental and transition points in your life - A history of unprocessed trauma, bereavement or loss. You need to have a degree of insight and motivation to change, some capacity to relate, and curiosity about the sharing process of the group.

“The more you go, the more you grow” - Roddy McDowall 🔹 Our network of group therapists agrees that joining a group is a long-term investment in your mental health and well-being. So be prepared to attend sessions weekly for at least 12 - 18 months to get the full benefits of the group experience “This initial commitment to being in the group is very important, in order for you to make an informed decision as to whether being in the group is helpful to you” - Marina Gaspodini 🔹It takes time to settle in a group. Also, to experience the life cycles in the group - including others joining and leaving “A minimum of one year to eighteen months although many people stay longer. This is because it takes a while to develop trust to share experiences that have felt to be shameful” - Sara Wainstein 🔹 The message from our group therapists is loud and clear – you deserve to invest this time in yourself and see the changes in your life that group therapy can offer. In group therapy, your story is a catalyst for change. Not just for you, but for others. Every shared experience is a stepping stone to personal growth. We often find that our struggles are universal when we open up in a group setting. It's in these moments of connection that we discover our strength. –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– We are a network of experienced Group Analysts. We want to make sure anyone who wants to join a therapy group has options that work for them We understand attending an in-person group regularly can have its challenges 🚗 Travel time, traffic or public transport issues 💻 Work commitments or working away ♿️ Mobility difficulties With regular attendance, you’ll benefit from group therapy and if these factors might limit your access to in-person therapy we have an alternative 👇 ✅ An online therapy group means you don’t need to factor in getting to and from the group – you just need a quiet, private space and an internet connection ✅ An online therapy group allows you to attend wherever you are – if you travel for work or away on holiday you can still join the group session ✅ You can be comfortable in your own environment and still feel part of the group Please check out the profiles of all our experienced and qualified Group Analysts on the website, it offers you a range of therapists and groups to choose from.
