We are thrilled that Plus X, Brighton has been named one of three projects shortlisted for tonight's BCO National Awards in the Innovation category! 👏 The building is the centre piece in a major regeneration project aiming to transform this edge of city location while supporting Britain's new generation of entrepreneurs and inventors. Our 53,000 sq ft building in Brighton, UK, represents the first of a new national network of innovation hubs and a vibrant community. The project, designed by SEW and developed by LandsecU+I for Plus X Innovation Hubs, offers purpose-built collaborative workspaces featuring state-of-the-art facilities including digital studios and prototyping labs. My artistic response to Risham Syed's kinetic installation "Each Tiny Drop" for the opening of the MIF 2023 aims to allow a moment of stillness. Featuring Mohrelle Syed in Mayfield Park, it celebrates a re-opened canal and the reunification of two rivers. "I tried to capture the ethereal magic that filled the air that day. A cosmic reunification experience full of meaning and beauty, making it one of my favourite projects in 2023". So grateful for the opportunity to document the magic of the day Sam Jarrett. A well-deserved Green Flag Award to the team at LandsecU+I for the design of Mayfield Park. Let's hope it inspires future public realm designs and collaborative events. 9 out of 10 city residents want new developments in their city to prioritise access to nature. 📣 Announcement 📣   We're excited to announce that next summer the #Lewisham transformation could begin, as we are proposing to create an open air street food market, bar and outdoor space. A civic square alive with music, culture and food to celebrate Lewisham's independent scene. A new place, with all the community and spirit of Lewisham, designed by London based architects, IF_DO. Jon Watson, our Development Director leading the Lewisham Town Centre transformation said: “We heard loud and clear from our engagement with the community that people wanted to experience the benefit of a new town centre, now. So, we’re bringing forward a smaller planning application to speed up the delivery of the southern square – a dynamic new public space dedicated to food and music.   This comes in the run up to the submission of our wider masterplan in the coming weeks, which will lay out the complete transformation of the centre. The development plans bring new energy and purpose to the shopping centre with a meadow on the roof, bigger than a football pitch, a new pedestrian high street focussed on food and drink and 1,700 homes.”   Keep checking back for more!  #MoreThanAPlace

Voting is now open to find The Green Flag Awards favourite public park 🟢 Earlier this summer Mayfield Manchester was awarded the first Green Flag Award for a new city-centre park, an award that recognises well managed parks and green spaces.
