We are pleased to announce that our Property Services team has been awarded a £36m responsive repairs and voids contract with SNG (Sovereign Network Group)! This achievement marks the beginning of a five-year contract, valued at £7.2m per annum. Starting in April 2025, the ULPS team will be responsible for delivering day-to-day responsive repairs, void repairs and planned maintenance. This win further strengthens our commitment to improving homes and providing exceptional services, and we’re excited to continue building strong relationships within the sector. We were delighted to attend Southern Water's WaterAid ball in Brighton on Friday evening to raise vital funds for the charity, which helps to deliver clean water and sanitation to some of the world′s poorest people.   We often take a sustainable water supply for granted, but across the world, one in nine people don't have clean water close to their homes. Thanks to those who attended the charity ball, we can be one step closer to WaterAid's goal of a world where everyone, everywhere, has safe water and sanitation by 2030.   The evening was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the water sector. We are pleased to announce that our Infrastructure Services team has been awarded a major National Gas project at Wormington Compressor Station! The Wormington facility is a crucial junction, linking gas import terminals in South Wales and supporting gas supply into South Wales and South West England. Aiming to improve air quality by reducing emissions, the project is a significant milestone for ULIS, who will oversee the civil, mechanical, electrical, and control & instrumentation (EC&I) engineering development. ULIS has a longstanding, collaborative relationship with National Gas. Its engineer-led expertise spans the full spectrum of asset lifecycle management, delivering complex projects successfully and safely across the UK. Last week, we were pleased to welcome Paul Hackett, CEO of Southern Housing alongside councillors from London Borough of Hackney to our Kennaway site in Stoke Newington, London!  Our New Homes team is currently delivering the £18.5m regeneration scheme, which will provide 61 new homes, with over half of these being affordable housing. It was great to showcase the site's progress so far and to meet our dedicated on-site colleagues working hard to bring this project to life. Happy International Women's Day! 🤝🌍 This year’s theme, Accelerate Action, resonates deeply with our ongoing efforts to drive meaningful change at UL. We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion, so today we’ve hosted a company-wide webinar on allyship. The session explored the importance of allyship in creating an inclusive workplace, and how we can support one another. We also engaged with our employees, seeking their opinions on how we can make United Living a more diverse and inclusive environment. We believe that diversity is not something for women to solve alone. True equity, diversity and inclusion require collective action and it’s a shared responsibility for everyone, regardless of gender. We all play a role in ensuring that diverse voices are heard, valued, and celebrated.
