  • We joined officers and staff from Lancashire Constabulary alongside Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Clive Grunshaw to celebrate the topping out of the new Pendle Police Station! As part of the ceremony, the Police's Estates and Facilities Management team presented a plant to the PCC, as owner of the estate, as is tradition to bestow good luck and longevity of life to the building. Procured via Procure Partnerships Framework, our team will now switch focus to the station's interior to ensure it is ready for Spring of 2026. As part of our commitment to creating a lasting legacy in this community, we have recently delivered over 80 volunteering hours to support Pendle Food For All and we’re looking forward to engaging with Nelson and Colne College to provide their trade students with valuable practical experience on site in the coming weeks. Additionally, we are going to be working with local charity Positive Action in the Community to support local residents overcome barriers to work. Read more: https://lnkd.in/ejrqz46C

First look at the proposed plans for The Strand, Torquay In partnership with Torbay Council and Milligan, we are excited to share the first look of the proposals for The Strand, their new transformative waterfront scheme. ✅ A revitalised harbourside Stretching across The Strand, between a well-established department store and hospitality venue, the redevelopment promises to cement Torquay as a world-class destination and create a vibrant and welcoming space for both residents and visitors, breathing new life into the area. ✅ Jobs and economic growth This project will support year-round employment, generating: - 80+ full-time equivalent jobs - £32 million in wages - 86,000 visitors over 30 years ✅ Designed for the community At its heart, this initiative is about creating opportunities, fostering connections, and ensuring Torquay thrives as an inclusive and dynamic destination for generations to come. “We’re proud to bring forward these bold concepts for the regeneration of the harbour. Working with stakeholders throughout the process has highlighted the positive impact these proposals will have on the local economy and wider bay. • Topping out with Thames Valley Police! Last week we celebrated a major milestone in the construction of the new Thames Valley Police Forensics Centre in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Procured via the SCF Frameworks, this project, once complete, will house the main hub for TVP’s Forensics Investigation Unit and this purpose-built facility will be home to state-of-the-art laboratories, new cutting-edge digital technologies, and dedicated training facilities. Last Wednesday we were joined by the Thames Valley Police Team, design consultants AtkinsRéalis and SCF for a special tour of the facility. Reaching the highest point of the building, we had the opportunity to sign a section of the steel frame that will become part of the buildings structure. It was inspiring to hear from those who will be using this space and learn what this new facility will mean for them. We’re excited to see the progress continue and can't wait for what’s to come! Capping off a great week with #OpenDoors25! A wonderful way to showcase our industry to so many people, to show the fantastic work we do through the brilliant people who choose to literally build a career in construction. Well done to Build UK for putting this together, and all the Willmott Dixon teams who’ve hosted so many visits and shone a light on what a great place our industry is to work in. We’re very proud of what we create as an industry, and Open Doors is bringing that to life through the stories of our people.
