Fantastic work by our team today! 👏

Our team have recently had the opportunity to visit one of our suppliers for a hands-on demonstration of some world class, innovative equipment. 🙌 Witnessing a 24 inch drilling operation, alongside an introduction to their large diameter flow stopping equipment. They were also shown a very impressive under pressure drilling machine, made partly from carbon fibre; ultra lightweight, allowing easier and safer transportation. Lastly, and probably the most impressive, they observed a simulated drilling operation using a high pressure smart drilling machine, with the capability to input all drilling parameters and operate the machine remotely, ensuring ultimate safety! 👏 National Gas Services are excited to continue this collaboration, with a view to bringing some of this novel technology into the UK market, watch this space! 👀 If you’d like to know more about NGS and the work we do, please get in touch! 👇 📧 box.enquiriesNGS@nationalgas.com

At National Gas Services, our commitment to supporting local communities is at the heart of what we do. Matthew Brough from our team in Ambergate, recently volunteered his time at Crich Tramway Village, a place he has visited multiple times over the years with his family. 🚋 As part of our contribution, we donated a box of overalls, which will be used by volunteers and staff to maintain the historic trams, ensuring the village remains a wonderful destination for families and visitors. A big thank you and well done to Matthew, for helping to make a positive difference in the community! 👏

Check out what we’ve been up to! 🙌 Our Glasgow team have recently been working on a fantastic project at St Fergus Gas Terminal. 📍 The scope was to disconnect the fuel gas lines and lube oil lines, paving the way for the demolition of compressor cabs 2C and 2D. Our team collaborated closely with the terminal during outage periods to ensure timely completion. Cut 4-inch fuel gas lines and expertly welded dome ends on the live side with our in-house coded welders, whilst slip-on flanges were welded to the dead side. We performed precise cuts and installed Lokring fittings on the lube oil lines, plus blasted and coated the pipework in preparation for the backfill of excavations. Another great job complete! ✅ Our Hitchin team have recently completed works at Huntingdon Compressor Station. 📍 As part of NARC works, the scope was to blast and repaint feeder 9 and the adjacent h-arrangement, refurbish/install new sandboxes for all risers and refurbish screw jack supports fitted with irods. Today we had the pleasure of hosting an open day at our flagship depot in Ambergate for our customers and suppliers. The day began with an engaging presentation, followed by an interactive tour showcasing our state-of-the-art facilities and services. Including a welding competition and a chance to see our newly branded helicopter on site! 🚁 A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event a great success. We’re committed to delivering excellence and innovation in all our services, and today was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate that. Thank you to all involved! 👏

Last month we said farewell to Frank Girgenti after his 30+ years of service. It was a brilliant day in Hitchin with lots of stories of Frank being shared, exploring his incredible career, unwavering dedication for the job and the impact that he has had on his colleagues. In classic Frank style, he even decided to push back his last day to see his last project through to the end. 👏 Frank is someone who is highly respected by all within NGS and will be sorely missed. Thank you for your hard work and commitment Frank! 🌟

Some of our team have spent the morning supporting a local Community Food Growing Project at Wildbrook Community Food and Growing Hub. 🪴 The project focuses on growing fresh local produce for emergency food provision; helping to ensure those in need have access to fresh and healthy food. What they grow is harvested and packed up weekly, then distributed to a local food bank. Today’s task was to fill newly built raised beds to prepare them for growing, planting fresh vegetables and overgrown vegetation clearance. Well done to all involved for making a difference in our local community! 👏
