We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Wagner Sustainable Fuels and LanzaTech in Australia, leveraging our CirculAir™ technology process—an end-to-end solution developed by LanzaJet and LanzaTech. This project will equip Wagner’s Brisbane SAF Refinery with the capability to convert waste-based feedstocks, such as industrial waste, into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF), helping to decarbonize the aviation industry. Supported by investments from Boeing and the Queensland Government, this project will create jobs in Queensland, enhance Australia’s energy security, and contribute to global efforts to reduce aviation emissions. By combining LanzaTech’s carbon recycling technology with LanzaJet’s Alcohol-to-Jet process, CirculAir provides a flexible and scalable solution to produce SAF from locally sourced waste feedstocks. We’re proud to collaborate with Wagner Sustainable Fuels and LanzaTech to advance the SAF industry in Australia and work towards achieving net-zero aviation emissions by 2050. Proven technology creating sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel from recycled waste and low carbon sources
About us
LanzaJet is a leading sustainable fuels technology company dedicated to accelerating the energy transition by embracing the circular economy. We are making safe, sustainable fuels from waste and low carbon sources a reality today. We are both an established Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) technology provider, and a sustainable fuels producer. Our patented technology, combined with our extensive know-how and deeply experienced team, makes sustainable fuels a reality today. Through the use of our patented LanzaJetTM Alcohol-to-Jet (AtJ) technology, we are able to create SAF and renewable diesel from waste-based and sustainable ethanol sources. These sources include ethanol created from feedstocks such as low-carbon sugarcane, energy crops, forest residuals, agricultural wastes, and organic waste, just to name a few. There are even existing commercial pathways through our founder, LanzaTech, that can utilize industrial waste gases to create ethanol. With such a widely available starting point, feedstock is readily available and accessible around the world. In this way, we are creating a global, fully circular, carbon recycling economy to enable the decarbonization of the aviation and transportation industries. LanzaJet was formed through the contributions of our investors which include LanzaTech, Suncor Energy Inc., Shell, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and British Airways and participation from ANA and Breakthrough Energy. The backing from these organizations is significantly accelerating LanzaJet’s commercial deployment, and is demonstrating a joint commitment to creating a resilient, lower carbon future. A major milestone for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF)! The Biden-Harris Administration has continued its commitment to advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF) by announcing nearly $300 million in Fueling Aviation’s Sustainable Transition (FAST) Grants. This significant investment from Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation will help decarbonize the aviation sector and support the U.S. in achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. LanzaJet is proud to be among the recipients, with $3.1 million awarded to our Freedom Pines Fuels facility in Georgia. This funding will enable us to install key infrastructure that will increase our SAF production capacity by over 518,000 gallons annually. Such support is crucial as we work to scale SAF production and contribute to the SAF Grand Challenge goals. Government initiatives like these play a vital role in building the necessary foundation for a sustainable aviation industry. We’re committed to continuing our collaboration with the U.S. government and other stakeholders to ensure that SAF becomes a primary fuel source for aviation, reducing carbon emissions, and driving innovation across the sector. Special thanks to Reverend Raphael Warnock for U.S. Senate , Sen. Maria Cantwell, and Office of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff for supporting this critical new grant program to support SAF! #sustainability #netzero #cleantech #infrastructure #aviation #FASTgrants #Georgia #US

Senator Jerry Moran’s recent op-ed sheds light on the vital role of biofuels in aviation and the promising advancements in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF). The bipartisan support for SAF is evident, with leaders from both sides recognizing its potential to revolutionize the aviation industry, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and benefit rural America. Senator Moran’s advocacy through initiatives like the Farm to Fly Act aims to accelerate SAF production, creating new markets for farmers and enhancing domestic energy security. The op-ed highlights SAFFiRE Renewables, a technology company owned by Southwest Airlines, which recently invested in LanzaJet. SAFFiRE’s groundbreaking work in processing corn stover for renewable ethanol production demonstrates the versatility and scalability of the ethanol-to-SAF pathway. LanzaJet is proud to collaborate with Southwest Airlines and SAFFiRE on a new large-scale ethanol-to-SAF project that will dramatically increase US SAF production. The potential for SAF is immense, and with continued bipartisan support and strategic partnerships, we are well on our way to making significant strides in decarbonizing the aviation sector. Yesterday, King Charles’ speech to Parliament highlighted a new bill that supports Sustainable Aviation Fuel (#SAF) production in the UK. The proposed bill introduces a revenue certainty mechanism that will add financial stability to the SAF industry. LanzaJet applauds the UK government’s proactive stance on SAF. Our Project Speedbird, an ethanol-to-SAF plant developed in collaboration with British Airways and Nova Pangaea Technologies in the UK, is a prime example of what’s required to scale the SAF industry. Government support like this new SAF bill will only help foster growth. LanzaJet is excited to ramp up SAF production in the UK. Progress in one country strengthens our collective effort to decarbonize the global aviation industry. The UK government understands there’s no time to wait. #SomedayIsNow https://lnkd.in/euazKwc8 #sustainability #environment #biofuels #energy #transportation #aviation #UK
