4africa has contracted two professional counselors, solidifying plans to provide trauma and adversity counseling services for the students and staff at The Leadership Academy of South Sudan (LASS). This initiative started in January, ensuring continuous emotional and psychological support among our community. In addition to the contracted counselors, five (5) of our staff members completed a 12-week online Trauma and Adversity Management training conducted by Clarke International University, Kampala. The course comprised 12 modules covering trauma identification, management strategies, and referral protocols. This training enhances their ability to serve as frontline support, equipping them to assist students in overcoming traumatic experiences while ensuring professional escalation when needed. We are so grateful for the counselors and the staff who completed the training. Our students come from backgrounds marked by trauma, loss, and adversity. We are intentional about supporting our students and staff both emotionally and spiritually so that they can develop into strong, healthy leaders who will go on to care for others.

Such a pleasure working with era92 Creative! Wonderful working with an organization in Uganda that aligns with our mission and employs bright, talented Africans who are creating real impact through their storytelling.
Connecting the world to untapped African creative talent I 10K Skilled Jobs Mission | Leading era92 Group of Social Enterprises.
It was great meeting with our friends from 4africa at era92 Creative and I’m truly excited about the incredible possibilities ahead for us! 4africa is one of our valued clients, and what they’re doing through their Leadership Academy of South Sudan is truly inspiring. We deeply admire their mission to build the next generation of leaders in Africa. At era92, we share a similar vision—one where young people across Africa have the tools, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. We're both committed to empowering the next generation of African leaders, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating jobs that will transform our continent. We are grateful for the opportunity to support 4africa's storytelling by capturing the impact of their work in Uganda through local video and photo content. This collaboration not only helps them create powerful material for their mission but also drives job creation for young talent that graduate from era92 elevate. Looking ahead, I’m thrilled about the next phase of our partnership. It's about investing in young African entrepreneurs and shaping a future where they can lead and innovate. The future is full of promise, and together, I’m confident we can make a real difference in building Africa’s leadership for generations to come.

At the beginning of our team meetings, we each share our (1) Personal High and (2) Professional High from the past week. 🙌🏼 This quick ritual to jumpstart our meetings gives our team a chance to connect with each other and call attention to the praises and joy both in our personal and professional lives. What's a meeting ritual that your team does?

4africa combines spiritual formation with practical leadership development, creating Discipled Nation Builders who live Christ-centered lives while gaining the skills to transform their communities. Our approach integrates faith with education, entrepreneurship, and leadership training to develop well-rounded leaders who can create ripple effects of change.

Traditional development programs often impose Western solutions on African challenges, overlooking local wisdom and leadership potential. These approaches can inadvertently perpetuate colonial mindsets and dependency on foreign intervention, failing to recognize and develop Africans’ capability to solve African problems. 4africa operates on the belief that the people most qualified to solve African problems are Africans themselves. We select and develop promising young leaders from within East African communities, equipping them with the education, skills, and spiritual foundation needed to transform their nations from within. Our ultimate goal is to make ourselves unnecessary by creating self-sustaining communities led by empowered East African leaders. Learn more at 4africa.com.

Discipleship is at the core of what we do and why we do it. We are all in on PEOPLE. Equipping them through our academy and journeying with them to discover what God's purpose is for their life. Through these Christ-centered leaders, generational problems that have held back Africa will be tackled head on as they serve in areas of influence whether it be politically, economically, in small business, in the church, or within their families.

🌟 Quarterly Day is here! As we wrap up another successful quarter, it’s time for our team to come together for one of the most important events on our calendar: Quarterly Day. Each of our teams in the US and in Africa meet at the start of the quarter. Before diving into the next three months at full speed, we hit the pause button to reflect, refocus, and recalibrate. We share our key projects, goals, and discuss issues. The agenda is clear and focused, ensuring we're all on the same page and prepared for the quarter ahead. 💭 The foundation of any strong team is a shared vision. During our Quarterly Day, we begin by revisiting the bigger picture. We go through 4africa's core values and traction. Why do we do what we do? When every team member understands and internalizes the why behind their work, it fosters a sense of purpose that transcends daily tasks. ✍🏼 We jump-start with personal and professional highs of the past quarter, what worked and didn't work, and expectations for the meeting. Once we’ve revisited our purpose and expectations, we transition into the next phase: creating a concrete, actionable plan for the upcoming quarter both individually and collectively. This is where we break down our vision into specific big projects (or "rocks" as we call them using Ninety.io), key projects, and milestones. The plan outlines what success looks like in the next 90 days and how we will achieve and measure it. It’s a time to be both ambitious and realistic—to balance big-picture goals with tactical, day-to-day actions. A clear plan ensures we remain focused and prevents us from getting sidetracked by distractions or shifting priorities. 💡 Finally, resolving issues. No plan is complete without addressing the hurdles that could get in the way. This part of Quarterly Day is dedicated to resolving any key issues that may be holding us back. Whether it's roadblocks within our processes, unresolved conflicts, or external challenges, we take the time to discuss, troubleshoot, and find solutions. It's a chance for open communication, collaboration, and collective ownership of the issues we face. When we leave this session, we know that we’ve resolved the most pressing concerns, setting us up for a smoother, more productive quarter. Ultimately, each quarterly day for each team whether it be Development, Marketing, or Strategy and Impact, ensures we’re all working towards the same goals, with the right tools and mindset to succeed. 👉🏼 But it’s also a moment to reset and recharge as a team, reminding ourselves of the impact we have and the collective strength we bring to the table. Here's to another successful quarter—let’s make it count!

Ezekiel Ibrahim Nyortal, a graduate of LASS, returned to Bweyale, the refugee settlement he once called home, to deliver a Christmas message that touched hearts and inspired hope. Ezekiel's sermon on love and unity resonated deeply with the vulnerable members of the Molokonyi area, and his presence bridged the gap between past struggles and future hope. But the day wasn't just about words—generous donations, community collaboration, and shared faith brought tangible blessings to those in need. His return was a powerful reminder of the strength of faith, education, and community. 🙌🏼 Read the full story on our blog! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gXekGSWc
