Please join us in congratulating Kim Beisner and Ian White as new Managing Directors of the firm! Both Kim and Ian have proven to be great leaders not only in providing their clients with exceptional service and dedication and in propagating new business opportunities, but in spearheading multiple initiatives to assist in staff development and growth that will further embody the VVA Project & Cost Managers mission, vision, and core values. Kim has a distinguished history with VVA having over 18 years with the firm, honing extensive experience in project management, scheduling, project team coordination, and quality control. Kim’s assignments have included managing high profile and large-scale projects across Tech, Media, Education, Non-Profit, Retail, Residential, Legal, Financial, Commercial, and mixed-use sectors. Kim has a comprehensive background in managing both out-of-the-ground core and shell work as well as interior projects. Prior to this role, as Director, Kim has led multiple initiatives for VVA to promote staff development and growth. Ian came to VVA in 2018, as San Francisco employee #1 helping to open VVA’s San Francisco office, with over a decade of project management under his belt. Under his leadership VVA maintained our San Francisco team and portfolio in the face of an international pandemic and continued to find growth opportunities for the business through post-pandemic uncertainty. Ian has a diverse project portfolio ranging from infrastructure upgrades, ground-up data center construction, and lab & TI buildouts. Ian acquired his energetic and collaborative problem-solving approach by serving three combat tours as a Combat Engineer in the United Stated Marine Corps. Prior to joining the VVA team, Ian worked as a project manager for the Department of Energy, Bay Area, where he developed detailed quality control skills, honed complex budgeting abilities, and refined soft side attributes quintessential to managing multiple stakeholders. Let's celebrate Kim and Ian on their well-deserved promotions. We look forward to their continued contributions and success in their new role! #VVAProjectandCostManagers #Promotions #TeamSuccess #CareerGrowth

Incredibly proud and inspired by VVA Project & Cost Managers’, Becca Nell, and her volunteer work with Food Rescue US as the Fairfield County Corporate Dining Coordinator. A simple, yet impactful mission of keeping food out of landfills and into mouths of those with food insecurity — so simple yet making a profound change for our world! #VVAProjectandCostManagers #FoodRescueUS #Volunteer
Last night I had the great honor of attending the Food Rescue US annual gala, where people came from near and far. I have been involved in this impactful non profit for three years and my awe and commitment grows exponentially each year. The simple mission of keeping food out of landfills and into mouth of those with food insecurity is so simple yet making a profound change for our world. Please ask me more about this world changing organization!

VVA Project & Cost Managers kicked off the Softball Season yesterday with two back-to-back games up against Benchmark Builders, LLC and Robert Derector Associates. And now for a play by play from Coach Perry Vella: “We had our first games last night and I’ll start with our second game first, where we fell to the RDA engineers. I knew we were in trouble when a tape measure was brought out and they were preparing an as built of the field to gather information on divots in the infield they could hit for bad bounce base hits. We just had no chance. Our first game was against Benchmark and their team of 20+ players. Our starting lineup had: Michelle Fede leading off playing second, Dylan A. Schedler batting second and pitching, Juan-Carlos Nadal playing left center and batting third, the old guy, me, batting fourth and playing short, Kevin Gold batting 5th and playing first, and injured, before the game! Aifric Prunty batting 6th and catching, speedy Alec Wisniewski batting 7th and playing left, Oliver Hilder, first timer, playing right center, batting 8th, vacuum Julio Pena playing 3rd and batting 9th, and Maxime “Max” Maurice batting 10th and playing right. Benchmark started out fast, compiling a 7-run lead after 3 innings in this 7-inning contest. They were throwing change orders at us, and we just couldn’t put a stop to it until our QS guys got serious and after the third inning no more changes and no more runs! VVA started to chip away and in the 5th inning found ourselves down 7-2. We had some notable defensive plays, first with Michelle fielding her second line drive for an out after taking an earlier one to her knee which almost warranted the medical staff, but she toughed it out. Up next, Kevin Gold flashing the leather, on the hardest hit ball in the game and one hopping it on his backhand for an unassisted out at first base. Then Alec going at full speed for a foul ball crashing into the fence and hitting a metal pole, fortunately he was ok, but after the game the parks department gave me an invoice for the pole! In the 5th inning after Julio lead off with a walk, Michelle got on with a hit, then Dylan followed in kind, we found ourselves with bases loaded with our hoping to be savior JC at the plate. JC took the first pitch deep over the center fielder’s head for a bases clearing grand slam, the crowd, one in number, Michelle’s mom, went wild! After both teams put zeroes on the scoreboard in the 6th we went to the bottom of the 7th, our last time up down 7-6, and with two outs I looked into the bench and said while grabbing the bat to hit, I’m going to hit the ball to right and run as fast as I can. The first pitch was a ball, then on the second pitch…………………. We truly had a great time playing and just sharing time together as we continue to strengthen the bond and unique culture of what is VVA. Be well all and enjoy the weekend.” #VVASoftballSeason #VVAProjectandCostManagers #projectmanagment #costmanagement #teambuilding
