During this process of CNC milling, foam briquettes are produced and collected. 🚀 Milestone Moment! 🚀 As of this week, we're thrilled to announce that we've processed 500,000 tonnes of construction and demolition (C&D) waste at our Pinkenba facility, since reopening in January 2024. The construction of our monster multi-waste stream facility, completed last year, has been instrumental in our mission to RECLAIM, REFINE, and REUSE materials like C&D waste, concrete, clean fill, and non-destructive digging (NDD) waste. The fully integrated and automated plant has enabled us to set a new standard for efficiency and sustainability, and the impact that the new Rino recycling facility has had on the industries we work with has been significant: - The ability to process multiple waste materials from both a single source i.e shopping centre demolition or multiple source e.g. skip bins, provides our customers with an efficient solution when tendering their work. They don't have to account for multiple trucks and drivers all going to separate waste treatment sites. Rino provides a solution where all materials can be delivered to one. - Our civil customers benefit too. By providing both an inbound solution and a high-quality outbound material, they can drop off materials like clean fill from a road construction and leave with TMR-compliant roadbase—all without leaving our site. Today, we had the pleasure of hosting one of our valued customers from the Concrete Industry in New Zealand. They visited Melbourne to inspect our screw reclaimer operating at a concrete batching plant owned by a major Victorian concrete and quarry company. This unit is an impressive piece of technology, processing waste concrete from 35 trucks daily and transforming it into clean sand and aggregate, which is 100% recycled back into new concrete. The sustainable nature of this operation is truly remarkable, and it's a testament to the innovation driving our industry forward 🌱. Not only does the reclaimer handle solid waste, but the water used for washing is also fully recycled and reused in the batching process. This closed-loop system significantly reduces water consumption and enhances the plant's green credentials. In an era where sustainability is paramount, this kind of innovation is exactly what the industry needs to meet environmental standards and exceed them ♻️. The unit has been in operation for over three years and remains in mint condition. Consistently performing at a high level, it ensures that the plant operates efficiently and sustainably, setting a benchmark for others to follow. Witnessing firsthand the impact of such sustainable practices is always inspiring.
