#HerThoughts After a long weekend, i got into the office this morning and thought. What are the 3 things am grateful for, the things that 10 years ago i was praying for. That was to set momentum for the week and fruitful month ahead. And this got me thinking, what are some of the #current #trends in the #mining #industry that will #affect the #sector tremendously in the #next #10years? And let's explore that this week, not so? The mining sector stands on the cusp of several transformative trends, each carrying the potential to reshape the industry's landscape significantly over the next decade. These trends are pivotal, as they offer a mixed bag of opportunities and challenges, potentially redefining the sector's operational, environmental, and socio-economic contours. What do you think are some of these trends? The Second Decade Plan of Agenda 2063, spanning 2024 to 2033, aims to expedite Africa's progress in multiple sectors, notably mining. These 52 pages are well packed. While there's no explicit mention of the #AfricanMiningVision (AMV) within the document, its principles are intrinsically woven into #Agenda2063's objectives, particularly in fostering Africa’s development and economic expansion through increased cooperation and integration among African nations. The AMV seeks a transparent, just, and efficient utilization of mineral resources to fuel widespread sustainable growth and socio-economic advancement. Implementing the AMV could significantly advance the goals of the Second Decade Plan by ensuring Africa's mineral riches enhance the continent's economic and social fabric, rather than just being exported in their raw state, talk about my #ZeroExportationOfRawGemstone matra that am working on. This approach is in harmony with Agenda 2063’s focus on economic integration, fostering the private sector, and optimizing African resources for the continent's benefit. Key priorities such as mitigating violent conflicts, forging lasting global partnerships, bolstering Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and capitalizing on the(African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat are vital for nurturing a supportive atmosphere for the mining sector's expansion and its role in continental progress. Ultimately, the effective ratification and execution of the AMV- (kudos to the 4 countries that have ratified it so far), within Agenda 2063's Second Decade Implementation Plan framework, can forge a mutually beneficial relationship that bolsters the mining sector's impact on Africa's economic integration and transformation. This requires a unified effort from all involved parties, including AU Member States, the private sector, and global allies, to synchronize national and regional policies with these continental strategies. Well truly alot has been done, and alot needs to be done….! This proactive approach by the Tanzanian government reflects a fundamental truth: governments are in the business of enabling businesses. By facilitating growth and investment in sectors like mining, the government can use the resulting income for social good, mirroring strategies successful businesses employ. This is a great example of how synergy between the government and the private sector can lead to substantial, on-the-ground results, much like how a well-run business operates. It's about creating opportunities, fostering growth, and ensuring that benefits reach every layer of society. Tanzania's participation in the Mining Indaba is a great step into a global forum; Tanzania has a bright future ☀️ Let's discuss: How can other sectors learn from this model of government-private sector collaboration? What are your thoughts on the potential impacts of such initiatives on the Tanzanian economy and beyond? #Tanzania #Investment

As we wrap up our recent competition, Gubhani Exploration reflects on the outcome. Our goal was to provide a platform for a woman-owned business to showcase at the Electra Mining Trade Show. Despite our efforts, we didn't receive any entries. This outcome prompted us to consider the potential reasons behind the lack of participation. Research indicates that women tend to hesitate to apply for opportunities unless they meet all the qualifications, while men often apply when they meet only 60%. The requirement for a 30-second pitch may have deterred participation, among other factors. Nevertheless, our commitment to empowering women in mining remains unwavering. Gubhani Exploration is proud to sponsor a company featured in the WiMBIZ directory booklet, highlighting women-owned/led businesses. Additionally, we are sponsoring the Women in Mining Business | WiMBIZ SA Networking Cocktail event at Electra Mining Africa 2024 on September 3, facilitating connections and opportunities for women. We value your insights on the reasons behind the lack of responses and encourage you to share your perspectives in the comments. Thank you for your ongoing support. Let's continue advancing together. #womeninmining #diversity&inclusion #empowerment #GubhaniExploration #Electramining2024 #WiMBIZ
