📢 The European Innovation Scoreboard 2024 has been published today! Here are a few key highlights from this year's edition: 🌟 Denmark remains the most innovative EU country, with Sweden following closely behind. 📈 The European Union's innovation performance continues to rise steadily, showing a 10% increase since 2017. 🌐 Geographic differences in innovation performance persist in the EU, with Innovation Leaders and Strong Innovators mainly located in Northern and Western Europe, while many Moderate and Emerging Innovators are found in Southern and Eastern Europe. 🌍 Switzerland leads as the most innovative country among EU and neighboring European countries, while South Korea remains the top global competitor in innovation. ❔ Did you know that there are 9,602 foreign companies in #Catalonia? This is a historical record and 68% more than ten years ago! 🌍 The United States, France, and Germany have the most companies in Catalonia. In particular, there has been a significant increase in companies from the Netherlands and Canada. The number of foreign multinationals in Catalonia has increased by 350 companies last year. Notable 2024 investments include companies like SEAT S.A., AstraZeneca, CHERY, Nestlé, SonyAI, Paulig Group, K•LINE France (Groupe LIEBOT), ELIS, and Open Cosmos, among others. 👥 The President of Catalonia, Salvador Illa Roca, together with the Minister of Business and Labour, Miquel Sàmper Rodríguez, and the Secretary of Economy and Competitiveness, Jaume Baró Torres, revealed this information at the "Passeu'24. Catalonia, your home for business and technology" event at the Hospitality section set up by the Government of Catalonia at Club Natació Barcelona. 🏭 150 executives of companies established in Catalonia, such as Henkel, Roche Diagnostics España, SonyAI, and Airbus DS Geo SGSA, attended the event and explained why they decided to invest in Catalonia.
