If I were John Barnes I'd probably come up with a clever jingle or pun to promote this. Since I'm not, I'll just say "Heck yes I'm curious about EB-PBF!" And if you are too, you should check out this webinar!

Throwback to the mid-1980s when additive manufacturing was in its infancy, a groundbreaking technique called Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) was born. It was the brainchild of Dr. Carl Deckard and Dr. Joe Beaman from the University of Texas at Austin. SLS was one of the first successful forays into the realm of additive manufacturing, opening up a world of possibilities in various fields, from medical to automotive and beyond. This method paved the way for a revolution in manufacturing, giving rise to a whole new era of design and production capabilities. Today, as we continue to innovate and advance in technology, let's take a moment to appreciate the pioneering work of visionaries like Dr. Deckard and Dr. Beaman, who set the foundation for the transformative landscape of modern manufacturing.

We are delighted to announce our participation in the esteemed Proliferation of Additively Manufactured (AM) Material Datasets initiative by America Makes. Funded by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Research and Engineering Manufacturing Technology Office (OSD(R&E)) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), this project is a testament to the collaborative spirit driving the future of additive manufacturing. Our project, "Generation of Design Allowable Datasets for A7050-Ram Based on MMPDS C/D-Basis Guidelines," is a cornerstone effort to expand the arsenal of AM materials beyond traditional boundaries, catering to industries like aerospace, automotive, defense, and energy. We look forward to the time ahead partnering with the following folks on our project team to bring this initiative to life. Together, we're set to make significant strides in additive manufacturing, pushing boundaries and fostering innovation.
