Celebrating 11 Years of Impact! 🎉🎂 What a journey it has been! As we celebrate our 11th birthday, we reflect on where we started and how far we’ve come in our mission to empower women across the UK. Where We Started: Eleven years ago, we opened our first centre in London, driven by the goal of providing women with the tools and support they needed to thrive in the workforce. Armed with a small team and a handful of volunteers, we began our mission to make a difference, one woman at a time. How It’s Going: Fast forward to today, and we’re proud to share that we’ve scaled from 1 centre to an incredible 11 (soon to be 12) centres across the UK, expanding our reach to 8 cities and enabling us to support women from all walks of life. Here are some highlights of our growth 📈: 1️⃣ 700+ dedicated volunteers who generously give their time and expertise to support our mission. 2️⃣ An astounding 63% of women secure jobs after their interviews with us, reflecting our commitment to helping them succeed. 3️⃣ 9 out of 10 clients report feeling more confident after their sessions, showcasing the transformative power of our service. The 3 things that have stayed the same 💪: 2 hours to help women realize their potential. 1 mission to empower unemployed women to thrive through work. 0 limits to what we can achieve together! Sometimes, all it takes is a little support (and a fabulous jacket) to change everything! ✨ Yasmine, referred by the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, came to Smart Works' West London Centre seeking support ahead of an upcoming interview. To her, having a job would be "a big stress off [her] shoulders" so we were more than happy to help her lift the weight. After a dressing and coaching session with our volunteers, she's now ready to take on her interview with confidence in her chic new ALIGNE jacket!💖

✨ Meet Anabelle! ✨ From working in e-commerce fashion and jewellery, to volunteering at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Anabelle’s passion for art, styling and helping others led her to Smart Works. After moving to London, she joined us as a dresser last summer and hasn’t looked back. Like our clients, Anabelle's experience has been 'life-changing'. She says, "It's fulfilling, challenging, and incredibly rewarding." She loves seeing clients leave with newfound confidence and encourages anyone thinking about volunteering to go for it! “It’s amazing to connect with clients and see them walk away feeling more confident and happy.
