Clients who come to my practice may be facing social stigma, identity, life changes, or health challenges, adjusting to medical treatment that leave them feeling unsupported, anxious, depressed, or spiritually depleted. As a psychotherapist and Art Therapist, I offer evidenced-based approaches, including Mindfulness, Art Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT).

I have been a licensed individual, marriage and family therapist for 30+ years and married for over 35 years. I received my Ph.D. with high academic honors from the University of Georgia. I respect each client's ethnicity, religion and cultural background, and strive to be authentic and honest while providing a safe and compassionate environment for change. My approach to individual and couple's counseling is collaborative and eclectic. I work in different ways with different people according to their needs.I try to give gentle and honest feedback and help you understand what it is about therapy that is working and why.

Jihan Sims is a psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who holds a MSW in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work with a concentration on clinically focused treatment, and a BA in communications with a concentration in Organizational Communication from San Francisco State University. I worked in youth ministry as a young adult, and then in chaplaincy and pastoral ministry before seeking additional training as a psychotherapist focusing on the mitigation of human suffering, and enriching family relationships and spiritual growth. I have integrated the body in psychological and spiritual healing, using practices that help us deepen our embodied awareness and enjoyment.
