UNIDO Cleantech Innovation hat dies direkt geteilt
Ms. Fatou Haidara, UNIDO Deputy Director General, Managing Director, Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, and Director General's Special Representative for Africa, gave the keynote address on the role of UNIDO in promoting innovation to unlock opportunities for sustainability at the 7th SADC Industrialisation Week in Harare, Zimbabwe yesterday. This was part of the SIW plenary session which unpacked the theme of the 7th SIWd, namely "Promoting innovation to unlock opportunities for sustainable economic growth and development towards an industrialised SADC". Following the opening plenary, Mr. Diego Masera, UNIDO Representative for Southern Africa, and Industrial Development Officer Ms. Karin Reiss-Haimbala, had discussions Ms. Haidara on the EELA sessions and ESCO training that will take place over the next two days (see photograph below). Ms. Haidara was also the opening speaker at a well-attended parallel session on Industrial Matters, hosted by UNIDO. This session included presentations on UNIDO's work on Digitalization/AI, Industrial Skills Development, Eco/Integrated Agro Parks, Pharmaceutical Industries, Industry Decarbonisation and Cleantech Value Chains, and Industrial Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy for Industrial Parks in South Africa.
