Fashion to make you feel amazing.

About us

In 2008, Founder & CEO Tania Austin relaunched DECJUBA with a clear mission - to deliver amazing at every touchpoint. Today, DECJUBA is one of the leading fashion retailers in Australia and New Zealand, growing their footprint from 5 stores to over 140 stores and two online sites. With plans to extend its retail footprint even further with 10 new locations over the next 3 months, this is an exciting time to join the team. Over the past twelve years, DECJUBA has significantly expanded its product offering and launched two additional brands - D-LUXE Basics in 2016 and DECJUBA Kids in 2017. DECJUBA has since gone on to establish #AMAZING well beyond fashion. Our #DREAMTEAM is predominantly female led, with over 1400 team members across our stores and head office. Through the culmination of years of philanthropic work, in 2021 the DECJUBA Foundation was established - inspired by the belief that everyone deserves #AMAZING. By 2025, the DECJUBA Foundation will work towards positively impacting over 25 million lives. In 2022, DECJUBA also launched our Sustainability Strategy with a mission to become Australia’s most responsible fashion label. DECJUBA is committed to positively impacting lives & creating real, sustainable change locally and globally. They are a team that work, live, and breathe their values of honesty, bravery, integrity, innovation, and optimism.

A special morning at the DECJUBA HO!   Today Uncle Colin Hunter Jnr, a Wurundjeri Elder and friend of DECJUBA Foundation partner, MITS, joined us at our new DECJUBA HO for a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.    Thank you, Uncle Colin, for sharing such a special and meaningful ceremony with us. The DREAM TEAM is officially all settled in and we’re ready to kick off an amazing new year!   DECJUBA respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and gather. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation where our head office is based, and the traditional owners of the lands across this nation where our DECJUBA stores are located. We pay our respects to Elders, both past and present.

This week we kicked off our circularity pilot with Authentified and couldn’t be more excited. DECJUBA is on a mission to become Australia’s most responsible fashion retailer and we can’t wait for our customers to try this innovative new program. Giving your pre-loved wardrobe a new home and shopping sustainably has never been easier. Watch this space!

It took Penelope Reidy less than thirty seconds to consign her first pre-loved DECJUBA item to Authentified, and under a minute before it was for sale on eBay Australia.   It’s time I shared a little more about what we’ve been up to.   Two weeks ago, we launched our first pilot, with the incredible team at DECJUBA. For us, this was our chance to test our first theory: By connecting with Authentified, can a brand offer its customers an efficient digital consignment solution without any infrastructure uplift?   It’s early days, but a resounding yes! And we’re excited.   We believe that brands hold the two most valuable components necessary to support a high functioning secondary market - customer transaction records and product metadata – and we’re determined to find a way to support brands to bring this information to life post-purchase.    I would love you to shop the first collection of 60+ consigned pre-loved DECJUBA fashion items at https://lnkd.in/eDyckmxa. And, as you browse, consider that, other than taking a single photo of the current condition, it took on average less than 30 seconds for each item to be curated by the customer.   There is still so much to build and validate, but we are out of the gate and so thankful to the leadership group and volunteer customers from the DECJUBA head office team.   And special thanks to our two newest team members helping David Johnson and I to make this happen, Consignment Associates’ Charlotte McLean and Taylah Doggett.   Ultimately, we believe that by inspiring, supporting and rewarding the circular behaviour of both the buyer and seller of secondhand items, we can drive better brand outcomes.   If you would like to learn more, you can reach me at ben@authentified.co or +61467695222.

DECJUBA Foundation partner, Bridge It, turned 3 this week! Founder & CEO, Carla Raynes (pictured with DECJUBA Foundation's General Manager Gill Whelan), led the celebrations and shared her dream for the future: a Cocoon in every state in Australia. The Cocoon provides a home to those at risk of homelessness to recover, stabilise, develop living skills, and prepare for long-term housing. The original Cocoon, located in Melbourne, has seen every resident transition successfully into the private housing market thanks to wraparound support services, community, friendships, and genuine care. This week, we welcomed Irene Naikaali from The Hunger Project Uganda at DECJUBA Head Office! We discussed DECJUBA Foundation's most recent commitment to The Hunger Project and how we'll be supporting the Amuru Epicentre in Uganda over a seven-year partnership. Irene highlighted how vital the Epicentre is to address the needs of women and children affected by hunger and ongoing trauma in this region after the civil war. Audrey Nania, Chief Operating Officer, and Garry Wallace, Chief Property Officer, also shared their experiences from Amuru as well as Oruka – another community that has benefited from The Hunger Project's work with investment from DECJUBA Foundation since 2019. DECJUBA Foundation has been a long term partner of The Hunger Project, empowering vulnerable communities across Bangladesh, India, Senegal and Uganda, in our mission to positively impact 25 million lives by 2025. A big thank you to Irene, Philippe, and Jess from The Hunger Project, and to Gill Whelan, Audrey, and Garry for speaking at Thursday's Lunch & Learn with the team. Together, we can leave the world more amazing than we found it!

For the third year, DECJUBA was the presenting partner for the annual Our Village (formerly St Kilda Mums) Mother’s Day Lunch on Friday. This incredible event is Our Village's biggest fundraising moment of the year, supporting vulnerable children across Victoria. The event also celebrated St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums, and Eureka Mums becoming one united brand: Our Village. Among the guest list were members of the DREAM TEAM and friends of DECJUBA Foundation, dressed head-to-toe in pieces from our latest DECJUBA collection. We also held a lucky ticket competition – which included a $2000 DECJUBA voucher and an exclusive styling session – with all proceeds going to Our Village. Overall, the event raised over $260,000! A big thank you to all who attended or donated on the day – your support makes a difference. As part of our five-year partnership, DECJUBA Foundation is committed to supporting Our Village to ensure every Victorian child in need has the essentials for a safe and positive start to life. Together, we can leave the world more amazing than we found it. Find out more about Our Village >  https://lnkd.in/gvw4zuCn Find out more about DECJUBA Foundation > https://lnkd.in/gw2eMyjT

DECJUBA Foundation is excited to announce a major philanthropic partnership with Melbourne International Film Festival - Australia’s most iconic film event. Over two years we’ll be supporting MIFF to bring stories that need telling to the big screen and to inspire a whole new generation of Australian creatives. This commitment will impact an estimated festival audience of more than 360,000 people and help to elevate MIFF screenings far beyond a regular trip to the cinema, whilst keeping ticket prices low. CEO Damien Hodgkinson (pictured with DECJUBA Foundation's General Manager, Gill Whelan) noted that this donation is one of the largest gifts ever received by MIFF.
