New Project - Prefecture 48, Sydney https://lnkd.in/gA3sEnXQ
NEW PROJECT // PREFECTURE 48 is a six-in-one Japanese hub located in a heritage-listed building on Sussex Street in Sydney. The site, a former storage facility, is split into two sections by a central courtyard. The concept draws inspiration from Japan’s 47 prefectures, creating an unofficial “48th” through its cultural and culinary offerings. Within Prefecture 48, you’ll find four restaurants, a patisserie, and a whisky bar. Luminaire selection was crucial to bringing this project to life. MLP collaborated with lighting designer’s Electrolight to develop some bespoke luminaires, carefully aligning with their overall vision. LightGraphix uplighting played a big role emphasising the heritage features, while other custom luminaires were designed for unique applications throughout the venue.
