A team from International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO Eastern and Southern African Regional Office and Western and Central Africa (WACAF) Regional Office led by Ag. RD WACAF Mr. Nika Meheza Manzi participated in the 8th Meeting of Aviation Industry Stakeholders on the Implementation of the Joint Prioritized Action Plan (JPAP) for the operationalization of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM). The event, organized by the African Civil Aviation Commission AFCAC in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC), took place on February 3–4, 2025, at AFCAC Headquarters in Dakar, Senegal. During the meeting, ICAO presented its 2024 implementation performance and the 2025 action plan for the region, focusing on air transport liberalization, implementation support in aviation safety and security, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
