Siemens Stiftung is joining forces with one of India’s biggest educational foundations, Pratham Education Foundation and #Siemens India, to improve students' learning experiences in #STEM subjects. Together, we will introduce Open Educational Resources (#OER) in line with the recommendations of India’s National Education Policy for students from low-income families from seven Indian states. The project will: 🤖 Strengthen STEM pedagogical practices 💻 Bridge the digital learning divide by providing high-quality learning resources 👩🎓👨🎓 Foster an inclusive learning environment in line with India’s diversity Siemens Stiftung’s internationally recognized OER are co-created and adapted to meet the diverse learning needs of Indian students, making #QualityEducation accessible to all. Our actions in the coming weeks and months will define not only the future of water, but the future of our planet, humanity and generations to come." 🧭 Wie lässt sich die tiefgreifende Transformation unseres Schulsystems wirksam gestalten, um den multiplen Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts zu begegnen? 🧩 Um Bildung zu transformieren, braucht es eine Idee, wo man steht und wo es hin gehen soll. Mit dem heute veröffentlichten Navigator Bildung Digitalisierung (#NavigatorBD) bieten wir einen Ausgangspunkt für den Diskurs über ein gemeinschaftliches, transformatives Bildungsverständnis. Der Navigator BD bietet erstmals einen systematisierten Gesamtblick auf den Stand der digitalen Transformation im schulischen Bildungsbereich in Deutschland. Mit seinen konzeptionellen Ausarbeitungen und der Zusammenführung vorliegender Studienergebnisse entwirft der Navigator BD ein umfassendes Verständnis digitaler Transformation und skizziert entlang dieser Struktur aktuelle wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und Forschungslücken. Daraus ergeben sich Orientierungsimpulse für zukünftige Entwicklungen und für ein systematisches Bildungsmonitoring der digitalen Transformation. 👥 Der Navigator BD wurde auf Initiative des Forum Bildung Digitalisierung von einem Team aus vier führenden Wissenschaftler:innen unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Birgit Eickelmann (Universität Paderborn) und der Ko-Leitung von Prof. Dr. Julia Gerick (Technische Universität Braunschweig) gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Uta Hauck-Thum (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) und Prof. Dr. Kai Maaz (DIPF | Leibniz-Institut für Bildungsforschung und Bildungsinformation) erarbeitet. 📖 Der vollständige Navigator BD sowie ein Orientierungspapier aus Perspektive des Forum Bildung Digitalisierung mit vier wesentlichen Ableitungen stehen seit heute auf unserer Website zum Download zur Verfügung: 👉 https://lnkd.in/e86ciDA5 📅 Am 5. #WWWeek Our colleague Christine Meinhardt is at the World Water Week in Stockholm, a leading conference on global water issues. Siemens Stiftung is participating with a focus on #SDG6 #SafeWater. With its partner Whave Solutions, a #SocialEnterprise from Uganda providing 24*7 safe drinking water in rural areas, it offered the online session on “Uganda’s Innovative Drive to Achieve #SDG 6.1, providing insights into the locally anchored social business model, highlighting the role of community engagement in overcoming implementation challenges. 👉 Watch the session here: https://lnkd.in/dCyAPsDr 💧 As part of the Wash Funders Group, Christine co-facilitated a session on how funder collaboration can deliver better coordinated catalytic finance for the #WASH sector. 🚺 She also joined USAID's: “Activating the Market for Menstrual Health” session wish presented a comprehensive approach to building a a vibrant and sustainable market for menstrual hygiene products in cooperation with multiple stakeholders. #6️⃣Voice “The process of creating OER collaboratively ensures the quality of the educational resources, the participants' different perspectives enrich them”: Nina Ibaceta Guerra, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. 🖥#OER (#OpenEducationalResources) are free teaching and learning materials, easily modified and redistributed under an open license. Siemens Stiftung hosts more than 1,800 Spanish language OER on CREA (Centro de Recursos Educativos Abiertos) for Latin America and more than 3,400 learning materials on STEM subjects in German and English on its Media Portal. Teacher training and blending the online and offline classrooms are at the heart of our approach to making education accessible to students living in the remotest regions and preparing them to thrive in an increasingly digitalized environment.
