🗣 “The Creatón STEM+ has been a very enriching training, sharing experiences, realizing we all face the same difficulties. So we know that the Open Educational Resources that we are now developing for us and for other teachers in the region will be relevant and useful to everyone,” Rallén Meniconi, teacher from Puerto Montt, Chile 👨🏫 30 teachers from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay took part in the 2nd Creatón STEM+ in Montevideo, Uruguay. Over 3 days, they worked together to develop #OpenEducationalRessources for #STEM+ lessons on the topic of health with a focus on inclusion, diversity and gender. Now, the project team (Ceibal, Siemens Stiftung & CIDSTEM) as well as other teachers from the teacher network will evaluate the #OER, which will be published on our portal #CREA in November. ℹ The Creatòn STEM+ was embedded in the event "Encuentro de Innovación Pedagógica", organized by our Uruguayan project partner Ceibal. Our colleague Ulrike Wahl took part in the panel “Collaborative networks for Open Educational Practices in Latin America” to talk to Martín Rebour and Regina Motz about our network Red STEM, our portal CREA, and our work in the teacher network. 🗣 "By working with innovators from myriad sectors, we co-create new ideas, adopt innovative approaches, and most importantly forge new alliances with individuals and organizations who share our vision of sustainable social development." 👇 Read Dr. Nina Smidt's article to find out how we as Siemens Stiftung contribute to the #SDGs.
I had the opportunity to be part of the German delegation, supported by Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft and Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany to the High-Level Political Forum (#HLPF2024) on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York last week. It was extremely insightful to participate in intense discussion and working groups that will contribute to boosting the efforts to accelerate #SDG implementation in the remaining six years of the #Agenda2030. In my new blog, I share my key takeaways and learning for the global community to join forces to drive sustainable social development.
