À propos

17 Sport is a sports impact company operating at the intersection of sports, business, and purpose. We enable progressive organizations, properties, and athletes to bring their organizational purpose to life, internally and externally, through sports and drive positive financial, social, and environmental outcomes. Why? Humanity is demanding more. A new generation calls for more from governments and business, urging them to come together and build a more just and sustainable society. Consumers are educated, motivated, and savvy. They demand that leaders take meaningful action - and data shows they will reward those that do, and punish those that don’t.

🌍 We’ve been a Certified B Corporation™ since February 2022, and we are happy to announce that we have submitted our B Impact Assessment for continued certification! 🔁 Achieving certification is not a one-off milestone—it’s an ongoing journey. B Corps must undergo a recertification process every three years to be recognized for maintaining high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Why do we walk this pathway? It’s simple. ☑ We believe that business must act as a Force For Good™. The B Impact Assessment provides a rigorous framework to actualize this. ☑ We believe that sustainable business operations benefit businesses themselves. ☑ We believe that responsible and purpose-driven business is what the world needs. 🌄 In the words of Rose Marcario, Former CEO of Patagonia, “The B Corp movement is one of the most important of our lifetime, built on the simple fact that business impacts and serves more than just shareholders—it has an equal responsibility to the community and to the planet.” So, what’s next? ⏱ We wait our turn to be called into evaluation where our answers will be assessed and verified. Whatever the result, we want to take the opportunity to say a profound thank you to our purpose-led clients and partners, and our passionate and committed team, without whom none of this would be possible. 👣 This is not an easy path to walk, and it isn’t a perfect journey. We recognize there are areas we need to improve in despite our ongoing progress as a company. Here’s to more businesses throwing their intelligence, resources, and influence into being the force for good our world needs! #17Sport #SportsForGood #BCorp #SportsAndPurpose B Lab · B Lab Europe · B Lab France

🤾♀️🏅 The Paris 2024 Olympics was full of smashing records and setting new milestones, both through the successes of the world’s most incredible athletes, and the social progress driven behind the scenes. From the IOC’s commitment to full gender parity to the city’s efforts to improve accessibility, the power of sport has undoubtedly been on full display this summer. 👪💭 As we wrap up this year’s Olympics, we’d like to look back at the past two weeks of Olympism—and how our 17 Sport team members played a role in bringing purpose to the Games. 🗣️💥 Our co-founder and CEO Neill Duffy hosted a discussion at SponsorshipX about the power of purpose-led sponsorship activation and its ability to break through the noise, build brand relevance, and establish loyalty while addressing important social and environmental outcomes. He was joined in this conversation by leaders from adidas, Deloitte, and Rising Phoenix. 💪🎬 Neill also joined our Head of Activation, Andrew Wisniewski, to help our partners at Rising Phoenix organize a panel at the adidas adi House. The team from Rising Phoenix showcased content from their Netflix documentary about the importance and impact of the Paralympic Games, as well as the trailer for their upcoming series Rising Phoenix: Tokyo and a sneak peak at the content they are creating around the Paris games. 💡🌍 17 Sport Account Director Raphael Ostré was hard at work on the ground at Club France with our partners at EDF. Leading the press outreach for Team EDF athletes, Raph supported in promoting the EDF’s long held belief that sport has the power to educate, raise awareness and change mindsets. 🤝🏆 At La Maison Sanofi, 17 Sport team members Nathalie Petzold, Alexia Brenier, Agnès CONESA-ROUAT, and Julie Goddertz joined our partners to amplify the voices of Team Sanofi athletes and their overall commitment to diversity and inclusion for Paralympians. 🤩⏩ As we look ahead to the Paralympic Games kicking off on August 28th, this exciting summer of sports is just getting started. We cannot wait for our work to continue in Paris, using the transformative power of sport to serve as a force for good, for all. #17Sport #SportsForGood #Paris2024 #SportsAndPurpose

Chief Executive & Founder at 17 Sport - the world's first sports impact company operating at the intersection of sport, business and purpose.

Full day yesterday at the Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024 with purpose and sport on full show. Started off at Maison Deloitte for the IOC Climate Action Awards to celebrate those that are driving climate action within the wider Olympic Movement. It was incredible to see such a large and enthusiastic group together - proof that climate action is alive and well in the Olympic Movement. Great keynote from UNFCC’s Lindita Xhaferi-Salihu who’s call for Climate Solidarity as an extension of Olympic Solidarity was well received. Congratulations to Marie Sallois and her team at the IOC and Paris 24 for the great example they are setting on the climate action front. Then headed off to adidas House where Greg Nugent and 4 time GB Paralympian Olivia Breen enthralled the audience with the story behind the incredible Rising Phoenix initiative and its mission to change the way we think about disability equality. Rising Phoenix is sponsored by adidas and Procter & Gamble who are both committed to helping Greg and his team best share this inspiring story. https://lnkd.in/gJbUDRRg Next stop Stade de France to watch an amazing evening of track and field, most noteably a new Olympic record from Cole Hocker (USA) in the men’s 1500m - what a race defeating tge two pre-race favorites in empatic style. And for the next couple of days its SponsorshipX where I’ll be hosting a discussion on the power of purpose in sponsorship activation with Suzanne Kounkel , Claus-Peter Mayer and Greg Nugent. Also looking forward to hearing from several other sponsorship experts that will be in the room including fellow South African Brad Ross and Ricardo Fort. International Olympic Committee – IOC

🧑🤝🧑🏅 Shifting from transactional to purpose-driven partnerships, the Olympic Partner Programme (TOP) is prioritizing brand partnerships that offer impactful athlete support. 🤸 Writing in The Drum, Managing Director for the International Olympic Committee – IOC Television & Marketing Services Anne-Sophie Voumard discussed their intentional move to build purpose-driven partnerships that go beyond "handing out the product to an athlete” to "empower athletes, [by] providing meaningful support that promotes success both on and off the field of play." 🙌 We are honored to see excerpts from our Sport and Purpose report included in this article, citing our findings that "85% of businesses believe purpose-led partnerships build a stronger brand affinity. Companies which harness the power of purpose in sports activations achieve better financial results, attract and retain the best talent, and build loyal customer relationships." 🌍 In alignment with the three values of Olympism—Excellence, Respect, and Friendship—thoughtful brand partnerships geared toward supporting athletes are building a better sports world that will have positive ripple effects in wider society. We are excited to see what the future holds as the sports industry works together to build a fairer, healthier, and more prosperous world for all.
