[MILESTONES ✅] Hanoi metro Line 3 moves forward with SYSTRA! 🚇 On 8 August 2024, the overhead section of Hanoi metro Line 3 was officially inaugurated, marking the culmination of a long-term project for SYSTRA's teams. This event took place one week after the launch of the first tunnel boring machine (TBM) to dig the underground section of Line 3. "Hanoi is turning a new page in its transport history with this new metro line, which will help to relieve congestion on the roads and contribute to the city's economic development. SYSTRA is committed to the success of this new line. A great deal of SYSTRA's expertise has been, and continues to be, mobilised for the commissioning of Line 3, which in total gathers up to 80 Group employees are working on the Hanoi metro every day." [MILESTONES ✅] With two major new milestones achieved by SYSTRA and its partners at Old Oak Common and Birmingham, construction of the UK's new HS2 high-speed network 🚄 continues to take shape!   👏 Excavation of the vast multimodal hub in west London, the future largest station on the HS2 high-speed network, was completed in July after three years of work. The gigantic underground ‘box’ formed by the cast walls, which will include 6 platforms 450 metres long, is ready to house tracks and equipment. Another success for the BBVS joint venture (Balfour Beatty VINCI with SYSTRA UK & Ireland). SYSTRA has been a partner in the BBVS construction joint venture since 2019 as HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd Delivery Partner. 📌 Near Birmingham, our teams and those of Mott MacDonald were able to celebrate the achievement of another construction milestone for HS2: the completion of the erection of the four piers of the Curzon 2 viaduct, which will carry a future 150-metre long viaduct. [CONTRACT 🚇] SYSTRA Asia teams obtains new assignments for the Taoyuan Metro Brown Line 📌, to assist our client Taoyuan Metro Corporation. 🤝 For the first time, we will be working in collaboration with engineering consultants TYLin Taiwan, specialised in project management and supervision. This new project is a continuation of the work carried out since 2019 for this line. ‘SYSTRA has been present on the Taiwanese market since 1980 and has contributed to the creation of metro lines in Taoyuan, Taichung and Kaohsiung, notably thanks to the patented U-shaped viaduct, as well as the Kaohsiung and New Taipei tramways. This new contract complements our long experience in this field, and I am confident in the ability of our teams to provide effective support to our partner and our customer in the implementation of this new phase of the Taoyuan metro project." [CONTRACT 🖋️] SYSTRA has just been awarded a contract to design a new road tunnel in southwest Norway 📍, for Agder fylkeskommune near Arendal. 🛣 For this the 300-metre tunnel SYSTRA will be the project manager. Our teams will be in charge of modelling the rock structure and designing the tunnel as well as the accesses and systems. "This is a significant strategic win for SYSTRA. Firstly, it marks our first contract with this public client, offering the opportunity to establish a fruitful, long-lasting relationship with a major client that has several large projects in their pipeline for the coming years. Secondly, the project's environmental and digital requirements align perfectly with SYSTRA's strategy."
