We are excited to announce that the Bharti Airtel Foundation, in collaboration with the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhijan, Kamrup, Assam has launched an initiative to enhance student skill development program through the School House System in the District of Kamrup. This program aims to foster essential skill like empathy, problem solving and creativity among students across all upper primary, secondary and senior secondary schools in different phases. This initiative will integrate skill development within regular school activities, targeting close to 100,000 students across 280 plus secondary and senior secondary schools in phase one. Bharti Airtel Foundation is committed to ensuring students’ holistic development by supporting schools to become vibrant institutions that offer quality education by strengthening co-scholastic interventions. We recently had the honor of welcoming a team from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for the inauguration of the Language Lab and Interactive Panel classroom at Satya Bharti Sr. Secondary School, Jhanneri (Sangrur). The event was inaugurated by Mr. Yasufumi Morita, Sub GM and Mr. Masashi Takamizawa, JGM SMBC. Other officials from SMBC and Bharti Airtel Foundation were also present during the occasion. The Language Lab is designed to foster immersive learning experiences, enabling students to hone their linguistic skills with cutting-edge technology. While, the Interactive Panel Classroom brings a new dimension to education, facilitating dynamic and engaging learning environments. We are thrilled to share that 9 girl students from our Satya Bharti School Program and partnered government schools under Quality Support Program (QSP) aced the Plaksha Young Technology Scholars Program 2024. The students secured paid internships worth INR 100,000/- each and spent 15 days diving into real- world engineering and problem-solving through hands-on learning and interdisciplinary coursework. Students were selected based on Plaksha scrutiny/assessment which includes reasoning, problem solving questions, students interest in STEM and financial condition of the child.
