Yesterday, Amath Pathe SENE, Managing Director of the Secretariat of the Africa Food Systems Forum, and his team paid a courtesy visit to RICA leadership to celebrate our collaboration during the AFS Forum Summit held in Kigali last September. During the visit, they also recognized the outstanding contributions of 20 RICA alumni who supported with data collection and reporting at the summit. The team had the chance to explore our conservation agriculture program. We are proud of our alumni and congratulate them on their success at such prestigious international conferences.

Agripreneur, 2023 Leading Africa Women In Food Fellow, 2024 Mandela Washington Fellow, Center for African Leaders in Agriculture (CALA) Fellow

My journey as a Leading African Women in Food Fellowship My very first fellowship that has shaped my career in the food system, when Charles Kabena nominated me in 2023, I knew little about the agri-food sector I was just starting out. Through this fellowship, I've learned so much, built connections with powerful women leaders who are now my friends, and found a supportive network I can always turn to. The best part? Full sponsorship to the AFS Forum where I had the chance to engage with decision-makers and innovators in the food systems space. Do you know a trailblazer, top chef, or ecosystem enabler in Africa? Nominate her today for the Leading African Women in Food Fellowship! It's a six-month program that empowers women, fosters gender equality, and promotes sustainable growth in the agri-food sector. If she has over 3 years of impactful experience, shows leadership, and drives innovation, don’t miss out—nominate her today! African Food Changemakers #NominateOneToday and help elevate Africa’s food system leaders. P.s we need more women from Malawi in this program, we are only 2 alumnus. https://lnkd.in/dMfedEQP

Now that the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Strategy and Action Plan 2026- 2035 has been adopted, the role of data in supporting its implementation will be central, as highlighted by AFS Forum's Amath Pathe SENE. During AKADEMIYA2063's Side Event yesterday, our Director of Knowledge Systems, Dr. Augustin Wambo Yamdjeu, PhD, Eng., shared the same insights, saying: we will gain by institutionalizing the data and working groups to help the implementation and tracking of the CAADP #Kampala Agenda.
