About us
Welcome to the Mulberry Schools Trust LinkedIn page. Our Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is a dynamic collaboration of schools and partners, committed to delivering high-quality education for families across London. Through its founding school, Mulberry School for Girls in East London over 50 years ago, the Trust has expanded to include a family of eight schools in both East and North London. This diverse network of schools sits at the heart of the Trust’s work, supported by a robust governance and business infrastructure led by a lean and agile Executive Services Team. The driving force behind our work is a commitment to outstanding achievement for all. Our vision is to ensure that all students leave our schools as highly qualified, confident, and articulate young people, equipped with a wealth of experiences. We aim to nurture creativity, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning, enabling students to lead enriched, happy, and fulfilling lives while contributing positively to their communities, British society, and global well-being. We take pride in the dedication and innovation of our staff teams, who work tirelessly with each new cohort to shape the culture and ethos of their schools, ensuring every individual feels empowered to thrive and contribute. 🍽️ So proud to have been part of the brilliant team involved with the evaluation of the Mayor of London's Universal Primary Free School Meals policy. It’s been a privilege to contribute to such important work, and great to have the chance to discuss it on The Food Foundation podcast. This policy ensures that all children in London primary schools receive at least one healthy, nutritious meal every day, completely free of charge. The evaluation highlights the positive difference it makes for children and families—reducing hunger, helping families afford basic essentials, and contributing to improved mental health and wellbeing. With child poverty on the rise, more than a third of children living in poverty, and tens of thousands in temporary accommodation, this policy is more important than ever. We know that children cannot learn when they are hungry; by targeting funding in this crucial area, the policy is making a tangible difference to so many lives. Tune in to hear more about how this vital policy is supporting children and families across London!

📢 Incredibly proud to have been part of the team behind this brilliant piece of work along with ICF, Child Poverty Action Group UK, Impact on Urban Health and Bremner & Co. Also proud to work within one of the few cities in the world where all primary school children have a free lunch every day (thanks Mayor of London!). The children and families whose voices are captured in the report make clear what a positive difference this has made to them. Child poverty is rising rapidly, and far too many families are struggling to afford even basic essentials. The problem is so huge, it can be hard to know where to start. Our evaluation makes clear that this is one thing that can be done, which schools can deliver and which does make a genuine difference: giving all children in primary school a free lunch. Now is the time for government to step up and make this a national priority. What could be more important than making sure that all of our children have access to nutritious, healthy food??
‼️‼️ #important‼️‼️ https://lnkd.in/ekgza3bX 📣📣 London universal primary free school meals evaluation - commissioned by Impact on Urban Health and carried out by ICF (with Michael Nelson) Child Poverty Action Group UK (with Reconnect London ) 😊 and us at Bremner & Co. (Our incredible Abigail Page steered the evaluation process throughout the past 18 months 🤩🤩) ❤️addressing child poverty ❤️breaking down barriers to opportunity ❤️addressing health and wellbeing and sense of belonging - being able to thrive As Nikita Sinclair says: “The evaluation shows how universal primary free school meals in London are already making a meaningful difference not only to family finances, but to children’s health, wellbeing, and school experiences by providing access to nutritious food.” This evaluation shows how a #multitasking policy can also help restore the connection between families and schools.

We are delighted to join with Kier Construction to mark the Practical Completion of Mulberry Academy London Dock, a new school designed to serve the Wapping community, with its inaugural Year 7 cohort. This school reflects the Mulberry Schools Trust's commitment to ensuring outstanding achievement for all and it will be a central part of the community. Our successful partnerships with Kier, Tower Hamlets Council and the Department for Education have been vital in realising this vision, and we are excited to see how our exceptional new school will support the growth and development of young people and the local area for years to come. Our London & Thames Valley business has completed the new Passivhaus school, Mulberry Academy London Dock, and handed it over to London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The new energy efficient 11 – 19 co-educational comprehensive school is situated in the London Dock residential complex and provides 1150 new spaces for local students. It is partly funded by the Department for Education and will be managed by the Mulberry Schools Trust. Designed by Architype to Passivhaus standards, the first-class educational facility is designed to maximise heat and energy conservation and includes bright classrooms with interactive screens and specialist suites for dance, art and science. It also has considerable green space with extensive facilities for sports and leisure that are also available for the local community to use after school hours. Students will benefit from flexible learning spaces, a roof terrace, a games court and external recreational areas. The school opened initially in 2024 with only Year 7 students, and will grow one year at a time, until it is full in 2029. #KierLondon #Passivhaus #education #teaching #school #socialvalue #sustainability #TowerHamlets London Borough of Tower Hamlets | Department for Education | Mulberry Schools Trust | KIER GROUP PLC | Walsh - Structural, Civil & Geotechnical Engineers | Briggs & Forrester Group | ETUDE | @Ion Acoustics Ltd | Potter Raper | OFR Consultants | Lichfields UK | Jam Jar | Red Apple Designs | BD landscape architects David Rowsell John Bolton Alexandra Smith Chloe Cooper MRICS

Audrey Aidoo-Davies the Mulberry Schools Trust is so proud to have been part of this journey and thrilled to see the film now available to all.
'Her Story, Our Inspiration' is officially available to watch online! 🎉 When beginning work on this project in April, I could have never imagined the beautiful connections that the participants would form. Chuck Blue Lowry and Laila Sumpton led engaging sessions that allowed the group to unpack some of the challenges women face today, learn about advocates of the past and share female figures they wanted to celebrate. I think the film provides a great snapshot into the journey this group went on over the six weeks. Mulberry Schools Trust it was a joy to collaborated on this one. 🎨✨ Working on our Trust's response to the Department for Education Curriculum Review call for evidence this afternoon, I came across these quotes from Mulberry Schools Trust students. Such a brilliant encapsulation of our vision for the arts - which we believe should be a central part of the curriculum in all schools! You can submit your own response online https://lnkd.in/eUdgDbtz. The deadline for submissions is Friday 22nd November.

A real privilege to be asked to represent BELMAS on the IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society Centre for Educational Leadership’s Conference national panel this afternoon. Great questions and discussion. A terrific two days with sustainability at it’s heart, and discussions on climate justice… thanks to Dr Brittany Wright Megan Crawford and to UCL’s Professor Kathryn Riley for our session yesterday afternoon. The highlight, though, was absolutely the group of impressive young women from Mulberry Schools Trust - really terrific to see Year 10 and Year 12 students contributing to a leadership conference, highlighting their skill sets, and demonstrating their global citizenship, great to see the impact of Model United Nations sessions in action in schools… generating real hope for the future.
