🤝 🔦 Our collaboration with CitySwift to deliver 'Spotlight' for the benefit of our bus users across the West Midlands, and for major cities across the UK, is a groundbreaking achievement for our team and for CitySwift teams. 🚧 🚌 Despite difficult traffic conditions on our region's roads, CitySwift's AI analytics and optimisation tools have helped our skilled schedulers and network planners to respond effectively, maximising our productivity and efficiency while also reducing late running by over 20% for customers that rely on our bus services.

On Tuesday 25th June Women in Bus and Coach are celebrating International Women in Engineering Day with a webinar focused on "Engineered for Success: Why the Bus and Coach Industry is the Best Destination for Aspiring Women Engineers". Taking place from noon, the webinar aims to inspire and empower women to pursue careers in engineering within the bus and coach industry. Speakers including our very own Engineering Standards Manager Georgie Rogers will share their personal experiences, discuss the unique opportunities available for women, and provide insights into why our transport industry is a fantastic destination for aspiring women engineers. We are marking #CleanAirDay by celebrating our growing fleet of zero emission buses and the part they play in improving local air quality and pollution. Thanks to our partnership with Zenobē, and with grant support from Transport for West Midlands, 140 zero emission buses are now in service, providing cleaner and more sustainable transport choices for people across Coventry.

As the landscape of public transport continues to evolve, it’s important that we provide customers with a convenient bus journey planning and ticketing experience 🚌 📲 So we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Citymapper and Masabi - integrating our bus services and tickets with Citymapper's user-friendly app to provide new and existing passengers with seamless access to greener, easier transport options. This first-of-its-kind collaboration represents a significant milestone in our mission to make it more convenient to move around the West Midlands by bus.

In a first-of-its-kind partnership, customers can now purchase our bus tickets on the Uber app, thanks to Masabi's Justride platform 🚌 📲 With this new initiative we're providing customers across the West Midlands with easy access to a range of transport options in the Uber app. And did you know, our National Express LTD coaches are available to book in the app too - meaning you can travel around the West Midlands and further afield across the UK, for less. We have a brand new bus on the road - a Health Bus! Yesterday our HR Director Rachel James unveiled our brand new Health Bus at the Birmingham Central depot. With a fresh new look it offers free health and wellbeing services to National Express colleagues across the business. The award-winning service has been on the road for 10 years and has seen more than 14,000 colleagues who have benefited from free consultations with a healthcare professional. Each appointment includes checks on weight, BMI, cholesterol and blood glucose - there’s also advice around smoking, alcohol, managing stress and adopting a healthy work-life balance.
